Inflation touches 7.41%

IN · · Leave a Comment
On Friday, inflation touches 7.41 per cent after it crossed the highest figure mark at 7 per cent recently. Inflation had last stood above this level, at 7.68%, in the week ended November 12, 2004. The rise in the price of commodities is the biggest concern for the government. The poorer section of the society bears the burden of high prices of even essential commodities. Once the high onion price brought tears to the then government and the current scenario is not less that.

However, prices are high, the nation is feeling the heat of high inflation pressure. The government is facing the wrath of the people for the inflation, as the anti-inflationary measures are yet to change the pace of the inflation rate. It seems that the issue of inflation would be big trouble for the UPA government in days to come, and the nation will gear up for polls. The inflation will mark its effect in the forthcoming elections too.
