The inflationary pressure will persist for few more months, according to media reports. The Asian Development Bank expects that the inflationary pressure in India will persist for few months. Considering the inflation rate of 13-months high, the government of India recently cut the import duty on food items as a measure to check the inflation. But it will take time to be effecting in checking the inflation. The high inflation rate is a burden on the people as well as on the government, as its a sensitive issue. People might be expecting an immediate solution to high inflation or costs, but the mechanism will take time to check the inflation. On the contrary, farmers do feel happy about the high inflation or price price for their production. But inflation would be a negative for middle and poorer section of the society. India's wholesale price index is raised to 6.68 recently and if the figure will remain then it would a tense for the middle and poorer section of the society. The inflationary pressure could not be eased immediate as any mechanism would take time to put its effect.
