Inflation at 11.42% for week ended June 14

This a tough time for Indian, as the inflation has been on rise. It has crossed the dual digit figure. On the other hand, despite measures from RBI the inflation surge to 13 year high. Inflation based on the Wholesale Price Index stood at 11.42% for the week ended June 14. A week earlier it was 11.05%. However, the shock of crude from the UPA government was another jolt for the people before they witness the dual digit inflation. The rise has been primarily on account of higher prices of food items like tea, milk and cereals. The other commodities, whose prices went up during the week were lubricants and manufactured items.
