Salwa Judum movement is illegal: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has pronounced that the movement to fight against maoist, Salwa Judum as illegal, on Tuesday.

This is bit set back to the Chhattisgarh state government which has been backing the movement by appointing people against maoist and naxals in the state.

The villagers of various regions have been joining the movement to fight against the maoist in the state.

Salwa Judum has been active in the Bastar and Datewada districts of the state, as the it is one of naxal dominating districts.

Salwa Judum means the 'peace march' in Gondi language, its a anti-naxal movement started by the state government in 2005 in Chhattisgarh.
