The political crisis of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was closed after the state party chief D V Sadananda Gowda won the confidence of the top brass leaders and state party leaders in a secrete voting on Wednesday, who later on declared as the new chief minister of Karnataka.

BJP had waged anti-corruption drive against the UPA government and planned to grill the government during the monsoon session, but episode of BS Yeddyrappa spoiled its cake.

BS Yeddyurappa, who represents the Lingayat base in the state, has shown a brazen reluctance when the party high command directed him to step down from chief ministership following his indictment in mining scam as quoted by the Lokayukta report.

Let talk about the new and to be chief minister of Karnataka - D V Sadananda Gowda (58), is said to be holding clean image in the state, who will be swearing-in as chief minister on Thursday.

D V Sadananda Gowda, will the second chief minister in the state representing the coastal region of the state, after M Veerappa Moily. He is popularly known as DVS in the state, who became the president of BJP state unit after BS Yeddyurappa stepped into chief minister's position.

DVS has been elected as Member of Parliament(MP) Loksabha from Mangalore constituency for the second time, besides, he also won twice as Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA).

Political analysts project that the road will be tough for the new chief minister in exercising his role. The major responsibility will be to restore the clean image of the BJP as it has been touting good governance and clean administration to its opponent party at the centre.
