Tiger population in India increases by 20%

Tiger population in India increased by 20 per cent last year, according to Status of tigers, co-predators and prey in India-2010 report released on 29th July.

This is a good news for the people those have been putting their all effort to save tigers for being extinction. In our earlier post, we appealed to save tigers. We thank our readers and others those have been associated with this noble cause.


There were many reports of tigers entering into village and cities nearby forest becoming the target. Needless to say about such incidents, for which neither people nor the animal were responsible.


Deforestation should be checked so that these animals will stay back at their habitat not entering into concrete jungles.
