Outlook on Environmental issues in India

IN · · 1 comment
The year 2012 is the perfect occasion to check the environmental issues in India and gauge the progress in checking them. The air pollution, water pollution are high are across the globe and the world leaders need to pay attention on these issues. It is not right to say that leaders are not serious about checking those issues rather need to focus on how fast countries are being progressing in addressing these issues.

According to Environment Assessment, Country Data: India (The World Bank. 2011) India has registered fastest progress in the world over the environmental issues. Recently, acting on the directive from the apex court, there has been ban on the use of plastic covers in tobacco and gutkas.

Still the use of polythene bags are high in the market and in all the cities across the country. Ban on those would save the environment in many ways. By the end of the year 2012 there would be more vehicle on the road, more use of plastic bags causing high dumping too. It's good time to start a good move to check all sort of pollutions so that by the end of the year 2012, we will have a good reason to smile.
