Satyamev Jayate, the television reality show has been hosted by the famous Bollywood star Aamir Khan. The first episode of this reality show highlighting the female foeticide cases on Sunday. It is the first debut of Aamir Khan into television or small screen.

The film-stars association with small screen have been very successful so far in India. Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Raveena Tandon and others are associated with tv shows and those have been successful.

The name of the show - Satyamev Jayate, narrates the about the show itself. The program could be another revolution in India after the corruption free India revolution by Anna Hazare. India witnessed the power of willingness, power of the people against corruption, and power of single Gandhian man.

The show will be a best way to disseminate the truth about social evils - I came to know through the show that - female foeticide cases were reported in urban India than rural. As one of the researcher pointed the facts and figures.

Whatever may be the way to create awareness it should be supported wholeheartedly, no matter whether its commercial platform or social. There are still street plays in many parts of this country to spread awareness about social evils and self-care tips for healthy life to fight against diseases like HIV and AIDS. But at somewhere the street plays are losing their ground. I still appreciate their efforts aware the people through street pays fighting against all odds.

I used to watch a show "Haqeeqat" on Sahara hosted by Mahesh Bhatt, was based on on the human rights violation either by police or common man against the common man. The aim of show was to highlight the human rights violence, the show had highest TRP rates in 2001.

This show Satyamev Jayate could be another revolution in India as well as in the television world highlighting the social issues.
