Wikipedia’s new Fundraising Ad to Continue its Uninterrupted Service

If you visited the Wikipedia today, then you must have seen a yellow message bar on the top with mentioning what Wikipedia is and how it’s been a non-profit organization running without advertisements. The message reads like this:

“Wikipedia is non-profit, but it’s the #5 website in the world. With 450 million monthly users, we have costs like any top site: servers, power, rent, programs, staff and legal help. To protect our independence, we’ll never run ads. We take no government funds. We run on donations: 100 rupees is the most common, the world average is about 1500 rupees. If everyone reading this gave 100 rupees, our fundraiser would be done within an hour. Please help us forget fundraising and get back to Wikipedia."

Well, all we can say is that if you need to find unbiased information from anywhere then its Wikipedia and we should donate some amount for its smooth existence and future operations. Previously also Wikipedia founders Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger had made request to Wiki users to donate for the Wikimedia foundation. Wikipedia has been serving us as the uniformed informational resource for everything and everything genuine.

Please donate and help Wikipedia to help ourselves in getting good information all the way round.
