LS Speaker rejects Opposition demand to remove JPC Chief

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar rejected oppositions demand to remove PC Chacko, the Chairman of Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on Thursday.

PC Chacko has recently presented a draft over the 2G telecom spectrum scam. In the report he had given clean chit to Prime Minister and Chidambaram, the finance minister.

The opposition had demanded the removal the the chairman of the JPC following his draft report giving clean chit to the Prime Minister and Finance Minister.

However, over the draft report, A Raja reportedly cleared that Prime Minister was the process of 2G spectrum allocation.
