Renault India to hike price in January

Renault India is likely to hike the price of its vehicles (entire range) in January following the rising input costs, according to a statement issued by the company.

Vehicles made by Renault India, a fully-owned subsidiary of France's Renault SAS, would be dearer by 2.5 per cent with effective from January, 1, 2015.

The vice president-sales and marketing Rafeal Treguer said that due to the rise in the input cost, the company was compelled to increase price of its vehicles.

The company has been selling its five model cars - Pulse, Scala, Duster, Fluence and Koleos in India auto market.

Earlier, the auto companies –Nissan, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor India, BMW, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra had announced hike in car prices.
