Top 10 Companies with the Best reputation in World

Harris Interactive has rated the top 10 companies based on six key characteristics including product quality, trust, social responsibility and how employees are treated. In its 14th annual Reputation Quotient survey, it rated 60 large American companies based on the six key characteristics, including big retailers and tech companies.

Based on the Harris survey, Following are the 10 companies with the best reputation:


1. Amazon.com: Amazon.com is considered the most reputable company in the world, with sales figures reaching 61.09 billion dollars according to Harris Interactive Amazon.com received the highest scores for its emotional appeal and its products and services.


2. Apple: After ranking as the nation's most reputable company in the year 2012, Apple slipped to the No. 2 position in the year 2013.


3. Walt Disney: For the third consecutive year, came third has a reputation score above 80, it one of the nation's most reputable companies. The company has a stronger emotional appeal with consumers than any other well-known company except Amazon.com


4. Google: was ranked fourth, it has a strong reputation among both its customers and its employees. Almost 44 per cent of customers rated Google's customer service as "excellent," and another 41 per cent rated it as "good."


5. Johnson & Johnson: Johnson & Johnson is at fifth position. The company was ranked in the top five in four of the six reputational dimensions: fourth in social responsibility, third in emotional appeal, third in products and services, and fourth in workplace environment.


6. Coca-Cola: Moved down three slots compared with last year. Was ranked sixth and remained among the top 10 most reputable companies in this year's report. The company's emotional appeal is very high among consumers.


7. Whole Foods Market: In the seventh position is Whole Foods Market and the company has actually improved from eighth- to seventh-most reputable.


8. Sony: Sony grabs eight position; the company has competed in the digital camera and hand-held videogames markets and Sony lacks a competitive offering.


9. Procter &Gamble: In the ninth position was Procter & Gamble. The company has a solid reputation among both customers and employees and customers are happy with the company's service.

10. Costco Wholesale Corp: This Company was ranked as the 10th most reputable company. It came 10th based on strong customer admiration and respect.
