Will Salwa Judum continue in Chhattisgarh?

This is a great set back to the government of Chhattisgarh, as the apex court takes serious note on a PIL filed over the Salwa Judum, a movement against naxal by the civilians. The movement by the people in the name of Salwa Judum or anti naxal movement reportedly caused more atrocities in the state.

Around five hundred people killed in the naxal related violence in the state in the span of the tweleve months. The people are more keen to root out the naxalism from the state but that would be possible only if the massive drive is taken against naxalites. However, the people associated with the Salwa Judum movement support the police and other para-military forces on anti-naxal drive but is that enough for the state. Chhattisgarh is one of the worst naxal affected states of the nation.

Providing weapons to the civilians could not be justified in any way. This is the time for the government of Chhattisgarh to review the Salwa Judum movement in the state. The naxal attacks are more common in this state, we often hear reports of naxal attacks. The people of state are the victim of the naxal movements. It is very difficult on the part of police to avert the naxal attacks. It is clear that people of Salwa Judum are limited to face the deadly attacks by naxal in the state. More and more preparations are required to root out the naxal problem from the nation.
