Bharti Airtel agrees to acquire 70% stake in Warid Telecom

Business News This Week: Finally the deal is over, Bharati Aitel agrees for the acquisition of 70 per cent stake in Warid Telecom company of Bangladesh. It has been anticipated since the deal was going on. According to media reports, Airtel has issued a release of BSE over the deal and acquisition of stakes in Warid Telecom.

After the complete of all the procedures of the deal along with MoU, Airtel may start its operation in Bangladesh. This will be the second out side operation of Airtel, after Sri Lanka. Airtel is going to get more mobile subscribers, as Bangladesh is considered as the hub for mobile subscribers.
