Import payment weighs high on Indian Rupees in Currency Market

The domestic currency rupees dips a bit lower against US dollar in the currency market on Thursday.

The import payments affected the value of rupees against dollar in the market. Refiner's month end payment gave a push to the dollar trading the market.

The value of rupees against US dollar was at around 44.49- 44.50 per dollar (till the report is filed).

There is a 0.1 per cent down in the value of rupees, if the figures of Thursday are compared to the traded figures on Wednesday in the market.
