Amongst the top 500, Airtel has seen the biggest growth in its value. Airtel saw its brand value grow by 42 per cent from $3.68 billion to $5.22 billion in this year’s survey. Also, Airtel has moved up 97 notches to 187 from last year rank of 284.
Airtel and 5 other Indian brands have together have added a total of $37.9 billion (or Rs 1.89 lakh crore) to the global league's intangible value in the top 500 list.
In the list, Apple topped at number one position followed by Google and Microsoft at second and third position. IBM, Walmart, Samsung, GE, Coca-cola, Vodafone and Amazon.com were listing in the top 10 brands in the Global 500 2012 list.
