Business News: Both BSE Sensex and Nifty ended in green on Friday. The week (Sep 29 - Nov 2) was also good for the investors as the both markets ended in green. In the week, the Sensex gained 0.7 per cent while the Nifty gained 0.58% in the trading.
On Friday, the BSE Sensex was closed at 18745.46 with 183.76 point up (0.99%) and Nifty ended at 5697.70 points with 52.65 points up (0.93%);
- BSE 100 ended at 5702 points with 51.85 points up (0.92%)
- BSE200 at 2309.24 with 20.42 points up (0.89%)
- BSE500 at 7217.60 with 59.02 points up (0.82%)
- BSEIT at 5795.43 with 62.74 points up (1.09%)
- BSEFMC at 5670.75 with 32.32 points up (0.57%)
- BSE CG at 110090.87 with 166.32 points up (1.52%)
On Friday, the last trading day of the week, the Banking stocks made good profit. The bank index Bankex touched 13175.30 point with 180.96 points up (1.39%). In the week, the major gainers were Wipro, Bajaj Auto and Cipla, while the stocks of BHEL and HUL were down.
