An air of excitement was evident at the 2nd Cultural Dialogue on Contemporary Cultural Issue at the National School of Drama recently. The event witnessed the presence of Sh. Waman Kendre (Director National School of Drama) Mr. RC Dalal (Executive Director, JD Institute of Fashion & Technology), Mr. Ajit Rai (a renowned Film Critic) and Mr. Anuj Garg (MD of IAAAN Institute of Mass Communication).
The Cultural Dialogue was addressed by Mr. Nasarullah Qureshi, The Festival Director, Bollywood Festival Norway on the gaining popularity of Indian cinema in Europe especially among the people not familiar with Hindi and English as a language.
He also talked about how Indian cinema is changing the way Europe looks at India.
On felicitating Mr. Nasarulla Quershi, Mr RC Dalal said, ‘It is a moment of sheer pleasure and pride for all of us to come together and honour Mr. Quresh for his tremendous contribution in popularising Indian Cinema in Europe”.
The event ended on a note that such cultural dialogues are essential and should be initiated amongst different strata’s of the society to keep up the culture and tradition alive amongst the youth of our nation.
