Earthquake felt in Eastern India

Earthquake tremors were felt on the Friday evening in eastern India - Guwahati, Assam; Shillong, Meghalaya and in Kolkata, West Bengal. The earthquake was measured as 5.4 on the Richter scale.

According to media reports, there were no reports of casualty due the earthquake in eastern India.
