January 25: National Voters' Day in India

The government of India has decided to observe January 25 as the National Voters' Day in India. With the election round the corner in states and some of the states are gearing up for the municipal elections, it is the perfect time to observe such a day as 'national voters day'.

Voters have been deciding the fate of many political parties - mandating them the throne by electing their representatives to Parliament and state assemblies. The day which is dedicated to the voters of the country those are keeping the spirit of democracy alive.

Voters are proud to be part of building the society by exercising their right-to-vote. The role of voters is vital as the role of the elected representatives in a democracy.
