The government of India has hiked the number of subsidised LPG to nine from April 2013 from existing six per year on Thursday.
The meeting of Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA) was held on Thursday, which gave its nod to increase the number of subsidised LPG cylinders per year.
The cabinet has also gave its nod for "small quantum" periodically hike in diesel price by oil companies.
From April 2013, the customers will get nine subsidised LPG cylinders per year.
