FMCG player Emami enjoys low menthol price

The fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) player Emami has been enjoying since there was fall in the menthol prices due the ban on pan, gutka in many states.

The ban on tobacco products help a slide it the price of menthol.

Menthol has been one of the major raw material is being used by the company, and the reduction is the price of menthol would be favorable for the company in checking its input cost for raw materials.

In the second quarter the price of menthol was at around Rs.1900 per tonne which now dropped to around Rs 1550-Rs 1600.

 It is expected the the price of menthol could further drop to around Rs.1400 per tonne.
