Is there any point in having a business strategy when the world changes from month to month?

I may sound blunt when I say so, but do we know as to what will happen in the next second of our life, what situations life will pose in front of us, you have absolutely no guesses, but are we stopping, planning and doing things about our future and the future of our family. The same applies here; the business world is changing at a rapid speed, and now a days there is hardly any place for the word static or stable in the business world and in the market, change is the only thing that is constant and stable.

There is no business without strategy, and strategies have to be changed with the changes in the time and in the situation. You cannot even in the wildest of your dreams imagine running a business without strategy, especially in today’s time. If you are under the disbelieve that, now a days you can run a business with fixed policies, strategies and plans. And wait for everything to be settled, set, organized and expect that, after this, you don’t need to change a thing.

Then, you better forget doing business. In these times you can hardly expect anything to be stable in business, you don’t know, as to what changes there will be in the market in the trends, economy. In this kind of situation if you want to have fixed strategies, it will be nearly impossible to run business. Changing strategies, according to the need, time, and situation is the only thing that is best to do.

So, one should absolutely have strategies, to run the business, and should do so, but the only thing that you need to keep in mind is, don’t expect that a single strategy or fixed strategy, will be enough to run the business, for a long time.
