Focus Of Education Shifted From Inside To Outside?

Today Indian education system has completely changed its face. The focus has entirely shifted from inside to outside. How healthy is the education system from inside no one is bothered, what harm this change is resulting in no one is bothered. All that we are bothered about is what kinds of names are associated with colleges and its output.

No wonder, our society is like this. Earlier, in the good olden days education had a major role to play in shaping a person, his character, values and in total his entire life. In the olden days education thought a person his purpose of life, and equipped him with the strength to face life. Now for those who are establishing colleges and educational institutions it is a means of making profits.

And for those people who are seeking education it is a means which empowers them with the capability to earn money. Nothing more than that, no one is bothered about values, morals and character. Where once the purpose of education was to elevate a person from human level to divine level, now the modern education system is giving birth to more self centered people.

Earlier when sending children for education what parents used to look for in a teacher was an exemplary person, who has strength of character, values and divinity. Now what parents seek we all know. If there is any reason why our society is in a position where it is today, our degraded education system is one of the main reason.

The phrases values and morals have vanished from the education system, and ranks and scores have taken their place. The purpose and focus of education has shifted, from heart to head. Through education how you are shaping your inside is not the thing anyone is bothered about. Through education how much you have raised your net worth is what bothers us.

If we are to see a society where humans behave like humans, we need to take back a ‘U’ turn, to where we have started, and seek that education which shapes us as humans from inside out. Because that is the real essence of education.

Education – What does it mean?

Seeing today’s world one really wonders, in what sort of educated and cultured society we are living and what kind of educated and cultured people are we surrounded by? In so called old days, educated people were less, but, they never behaved the way, the so called educated and cultured people do today. In olden day’s peoples lives were guided by principles and values, where as money and comforts are the only guiding factors today.

What sort of education are we getting? Is the education we are acquiring making us humans or is degrading us to animal humans? Education should help humans become divine and should result in a better society. But where is all that? We make tall claims that we are living in a very cultured, very broadminded, technically advanced and global world? But how far our thinking is global? All these are the questions we need to ask ourselves.

Education based on values and life guided by principles is what we need. Until and unless people give value to these things and try to inculcate them in our life the society will not progress. We see so many people who are called genius lying on the roads, ending up their lives in mental asylums. What is the reason? Why are the so called genius people becoming perverted?

MIIM starts correspondence course in 5yr IPM

MIIM starts its correspondence course for five year integrated program in management (IPM) by Indian Institute of Management, Indore IPM 2013

Maximum selections in IPM 2012

Indore: After giving maximum number of selections in IPM 2012, MIIM, a premier training center for five year integrated program in management (IPM) by Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIMI) has announced that its correspondence course for IPM 2013. This correspondence course will be divided into four modules, each module set containing mock test, test series and sample papers. The total fee for the whole course is INR 9000 which can be paid as a lump sum amount or in two equal installments of INR 4500.

Sixty percent weight is given to quantitative ability section whereas 40 percent weightage for verbal ability section. Personal Interview has 40 percent weightage. However candidates have to perform well in all sections to make it to IIM. Total 7 times candidates will be called in personal interview and based on their overall performance final list of selected candidates will be prepared. Since Interview is equally important to make it to IIM, therefore we offer intensive training for interview preparation. Examinations - Has it Killed Education?

First, before knowing if examinations have killed education, it s important to know, why and what for examinations are taken. The main objective of taking an examination is, to know if the student has understood the subject, and if he is capable or worth of being promoted to higher or further studies. This is the reason behind conducting any sort of examination, to know the worth of the candidate or the student.

But, unfortunately, now a day’s the ranking system and the grades are considered to be everything. And to get those grades and ranks, students are being forced to mug up everything and literally vomit it in the examination answer sheet. No wonder, that, we find so many people, who does not know, how to answer the same question if put in another way. Especially the examination pattern in India. Answering long questions, mugging up the answers, this is the cause of all the problems.

There are separate patterns, of exams such as answering in an alphabetical mode, which enable the student to understand the subject and to know it and grasp it. But the existing system, instead of encouraging the student to study, is making them hate education.
