Sumeet Sachdev returns to television after 4 years with Yeh Hai Aashiqui

Known for his crust look and dashing personality, Sumeet Sachdev finally returns to television after a long sabbatical with bindass’ Yeh Hai Aashiqui. The charming actor is all set to play the protagonist in the upcoming episode which will make his most awaited come back extremely exciting.

Yeh Hai Aashiqui chronicles unusual love stories every week and this time round, the show will bring forth an innocent love story of Rhea Ganguly who falls in love with Aseem Sen whom she once hated based on the rumor of him being a wife beater. In order to teach him a lesson, she transpires a plan to humiliate him in the college but, as truth cannot be kept under wraps for long, Rhea discovered the reality. She could not help falling in love with Aseem for his innocence and forgiveness when he finds out that Rhea had conspired against him.


Sumeet Sachdev will be seen as the lead actor; Aseem Sen. He will portray the character of a writer whose pseudonym is Eklavya. Attempting to run away from his past brings him to a college where he gets appointed as a professor, but his agonies are further aggravated when a girl named Rhea, played by popular ad face, Anupriya Goenka decides to expose the miseries of his past deeds in front of the college to embarrass him.


Talking about his return and the show, Sumeet said, “In the past as well, I was approached for Yeh Hai Aashiqui, and unfortunately at that time I could not go ahead with it. But, co-incidentally, I happened to watch that episode and I was impressed with the show; it was refreshing and different.

This time round, I was geared up to make a come back on TV after 4 years with a great concept like Yeh Hai Aashiqui. Not only did I feel that I could fit the bill perfectly but, I was quite thrilled about playing a professor who a student falls in love with. I have never done romance and ‘Aseem’ was a bit of a challenge to me. But, it was the right choice, a good experience overall and gave the feel of a short film.” This talented lad gained household popularity with his unconventional and popular character, ‘Gomzy’ in the iconic show Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Known for his versatility, Sumeet also ventured in direction. He made his directorial debut in the short film Rehman Saheb Ko Phone Karna Hai.


Apart from Sumeet, Anupriya Goenka will be seen on the show romancing him as ‘Rhea’. Taking the audiences through this emotional journey of Aseem and Rhea, popular TV actor Rithvik Dhanjani will be hosting the show.

Popular actor, Aditya Redji stars in Yeh Hai Aashiqui

Well known actor, Aditya Redji who became a household name through his popular characters in leading GEC shows will soon debut in an episodic with bindass’ popular show, Yeh Hai Aashiqui. This week, the show that features unusual tales of love, will showcase a story that would challenge the stereotypical mindset of love.

Aditya Redjiwill be playing the character of an alcoholic who gets drunk every day to fight out his loneliness that he experiences after his mother’s death. Succumbing to his addiction, he lands up at a dance bar where he meets the singer Shruti. Shesingsin the bar out of compulsionand not by choice.The character is played by TV’s newbie Nazea Hassan.

Their love story begins when Aditya one day rescuesShrutifrom few drunken men at the bar who try to misbehave with her. As time passes, he developsstrong feelings for her.

He starts visiting the bar more often; more for Shruti than alcohol. Gradually, Shruti also starts developing feelings for himand helps him staying off alcohol. But, as it’s said, love is not a bed of roses. In their case too, both of them had to go through adverse situations to test their relationship.

The versatile actor, Aditya Redjisaid, “Having done three daily soaps till now, I always had the leisure of developing the journey of each character for more than year but in episodic shows like YehHaiAashiqui, having lesser time in hand, it becomes a challenging task to complete the journey of a character within a few hours. It extremely motivating and interesting the way the show is been shot. When I first heard the character sketch of Aditya, I instantly took it up since it was role that audiences have never seen me doing. Working the entire team of YehHaiAashiqui has been a wonderful learning experience. “

It will be an interesting treat for viewers to watch Aditya in a completely new avatar that he has never portrayed. The episode will be hosted by television actor Rithvik Dhanjani who will take the viewers through the entire story.

Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra discuss ‘Opposites Attract’ on Yeh Hai Aashiqui

They say, two people with like minds don’t get along and opposites attract. And to prove the same, reel life couple of the most awaited movie – Hasee toh Phasee were recently spotted on the sets of bindass’ show Yeh Hai Aashiqui. Surprisingly, while on the show, the hunk du jour Siddharth Malhotra and Bollywood’s bindass actress Parineeti Chopra revealed how the episode is similar to that of their movie. Talking about the same, the two said, “Their story is also like Senti and Mental, which are our characters in the movie; two completely opposite people falling in love with each other.”

This time, Yeh Hai Aashiqui narrates the tale of a geeky boy and a pretty girl who are complete opposites, in every manner possible. There is no love between them and their marriage starts off as a rough ride. But, the two eventually fall in love with each other.



Television actor Anurag Sharma has been roped in to play the role of the geeky boy and Khyati Mangla will be seen playing the role of the female protagonist. The episode will be hosted by television actor Rithvik Dhanjani who will take the viewers through the entire story.

A heart wrenching love story on Yeh Hai Aashiqui

This week, bindass’ show, ‘Yeh Hai Aashiqui’ that features unusual love stories brings its viewers a tale that will leave them touched and extremely moved. This time, the show tells the story, set in the turbulent Punjab of the 1980s, of a young girl, Preeti who is ready to be wed. But fate intervenes in a drastic manner, changing her life forever, and makes her fall in love with Raghu, against all norms. The story has resemblance to the 2003 Urmila Matondkar starrer, Pinjar.

The story begins in tumultuous Punjab in the 80s where Preeti is a young girl who is soon to wed her fiancé, Pranav, from Canada. Preeti hails from a respected family and is looking forward to get married and settle in Canada. However, that was never meant to be.

One day, Preeti is abducted by Raghu. She soon learns that Raghu’s mother has a personal vendetta against Preeti’s father and she orders Raghu to defile Preeti so that her family has to bear the burden of this humiliation for the rest of their lives. But Preeti escapes, unknown of the fact that Raghu had actually helped her escape. Unfortunately, Preeti’s family refuses to accept her as she had been abducted and they suspect she had been sullied. Preeti tries to end her life but is rescued by Raghu once again. Given she has nowhere to go; she returns with Raghu to his house and lives with his family against her wish, hating Raghu all the while. All this while Raghu has developed feelings for Preeti but he never voices them, he just demonstrates them in small gestures. Soon, Preeti starts warming up to Raghu, after noticing everything he did for her and how he stands by her side.

They soon learn that Preeti’s family is moving to Canada and that her intended, Pranav is still waiting for her there. But finally speaking up, Preeti declares her love for Raghu and decides to spend her life with him, because it was he who supported her when even her family had turned their backs on her.

Amrita Prakash stars in Yeh Hai Aashiqui - Bindass

Well known actress Amrita Prakash who gained popularity through her child appearances in movies like Tum Bin, Vivaah, We Are Family, etc. will soon be seen in the upcoming episode of bindass’ show, Yeh Hai Aashiqui. This week, the show that features unusual tales of love, will showcase a story that went beyond man made borders.

Amrita will be portraying the role of Tabassum, an Indian girl who falls in love with Shadab, a boy from Pakistan. Their love story begins in the course of them attempting to reunite their grandmothers who were best friends but had lost touch after the separation.

The versatile actress who started her career in acting at an early age has not only done Bollywood movies but also a couple of Malyalam films and been a renowned face on television. So I decided to do Yeh Hai Aashiqui because it was a cross-border love story with a unique theme. I am playing Tabassum, a simple, young spirited girl with good values who comes from a fairly traditional family.”

Apart from Amrita, actor Yasir Shah will also be seen on the episode, playing the role of Shadab, the male lead. The episode will be hosted by television actor Rithvik Dhanjani who will take the viewers through the entire story.

It is said that falling in love with your best friend is the best kind of love. But even if two individuals are in love, it is not enough unless the two families see eye to eye as well. This was the ordeal faced by childhood friends, Pragya and Kanishq.

Set in the city of Allahabad, Pragya and Kanishq tale begins with them being neighbors and childhood friends. At one time, their families too were very close and thick friends. But due to an unfortunate incident that had taken place, the two families now hated each other and were sworn enemies. But Pragya and Kanishq did not want to bow down to this hatred and let this enmity destroy their friendship. The two started meeting and spending time secretly.
