Emotional Atyachaar narrates a chilling story of love crime

When in relationship, it gets extremely difficult to fathom that the person you love has an ulterior motive in being close to you. This is what Bharti learned the hard way as she was naïve and blindly in love with Vivaan. Sumeet Sachdev returns to television after 4 years with Yeh Hai Aashiqui

Known for his crust look and dashing personality, Sumeet Sachdev finally returns to television after a long sabbatical with bindass’ Yeh Hai Aashiqui. The charming actor is all set to play the protagonist in the upcoming episode which will make his most awaited come back extremely exciting.

Yeh Hai Aashiqui chronicles unusual love stories every week and this time round, the show will bring forth an innocent love story of Rhea Ganguly who falls in love with Aseem Sen whom she once hated based on the rumor of him being a wife beater. In order to teach him a lesson, she transpires a plan to humiliate him in the college but, as truth cannot be kept under wraps for long, Rhea discovered the reality. She could not help falling in love with Aseem for his innocence and forgiveness when he finds out that Rhea had conspired against him.


Sumeet Sachdev will be seen as the lead actor; Aseem Sen. He will portray the character of a writer whose pseudonym is Eklavya. Attempting to run away from his past brings him to a college where he gets appointed as a professor, but his agonies are further aggravated when a girl named Rhea, played by popular ad face, Anupriya Goenka decides to expose the miseries of his past deeds in front of the college to embarrass him.


Talking about his return and the show, Sumeet said, “In the past as well, I was approached for Yeh Hai Aashiqui, and unfortunately at that time I could not go ahead with it. But, co-incidentally, I happened to watch that episode and I was impressed with the show; it was refreshing and different.

This time round, I was geared up to make a come back on TV after 4 years with a great concept like Yeh Hai Aashiqui. Not only did I feel that I could fit the bill perfectly but, I was quite thrilled about playing a professor who a student falls in love with. I have never done romance and ‘Aseem’ was a bit of a challenge to me. But, it was the right choice, a good experience overall and gave the feel of a short film.” This talented lad gained household popularity with his unconventional and popular character, ‘Gomzy’ in the iconic show Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Known for his versatility, Sumeet also ventured in direction. He made his directorial debut in the short film Rehman Saheb Ko Phone Karna Hai.

Popular actor, Aditya Redji stars in Yeh Hai Aashiqui

Well known actor, Aditya Redji who became a household name through his popular characters in leading GEC shows will soon debut in an episodic with bindass’ popular show, Yeh Hai Aashiqui. This week, the show that features unusual tales of love, will showcase a story that would challenge the stereotypical mindset of love.

Aditya Redjiwill be playing the character of an alcoholic who gets drunk every day to fight out his loneliness that he experiences after his mother’s death. Succumbing to his addiction, he lands up at a dance bar where he meets the singer Shruti. Shesingsin the bar out of compulsionand not by choice.The character is played by TV’s newbie Nazea Hassan.

Their love story begins when Aditya one day rescuesShrutifrom few drunken men at the bar who try to misbehave with her. As time passes, he developsstrong feelings for her.

He starts visiting the bar more often; more for Shruti than alcohol. Gradually, Shruti also starts developing feelings for himand helps him staying off alcohol. But, as it’s said, love is not a bed of roses. In their case too, both of them had to go through adverse situations to test their relationship.

The versatile actor, Aditya Redjisaid, “Having done three daily soaps till now, I always had the leisure of developing the journey of each character for more than year but in episodic shows like YehHaiAashiqui, having lesser time in hand, it becomes a challenging task to complete the journey of a character within a few hours. It extremely motivating and interesting the way the show is been shot. When I first heard the character sketch of Aditya, I instantly took it up since it was role that audiences have never seen me doing. Working the entire team of YehHaiAashiqui has been a wonderful learning experience. “

Set Max Television to Premiere Goliyon Ki Raaseela Ram-Leela

Mumbai: MAX, the premium Hindi movies and special events channel brings to you the MAX Television Premier of the romantic drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘GOLIYON KI RAASEELA - RAM-LEELA ’ on Sunday, 16th March at 9PM only on MAX.

The film is an adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, set in violent times. In a Gujarati village, Ranjaar, infamous for its unrestricted manufacture and sale of arms and ammunition, two clans, Rajari and Sanera, have been at loggerheads with each other for over 500 years. The film opens with a violent dispute between the two over petty matters. Despite various tussles between the heads of the families, Ram (Ranveer Singh), boldly enters the house of the Saneras during the festival of Holi and frolics with Leela (Deepika Padukone) which marks the start of the love affair between the two.

Speaking about his experience of getting into shape for his entry song experience, Ranveer Singh states, “For my entry song – Ram Ji ke chal dekho, I followed probably the most intense training program I have ever been through to get into the shape that I had to for the song. It was well worth it now that I see it on screen. I am really happy that I look like that at least once in my life and it has been captured in celluloid.”

Recalling the experience of shooting the songs of the film, Deepika Padukone says, “Nagada Sang Dhol has been tough, probably the most difficult songs I have ever done. The song Ang Laga De is a very new sounding song, Lahu Munh Lag Gaya- was young and passionate. I had to completely let go and the only workout I had, was to carry the lehenga’s.”

Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra discuss ‘Opposites Attract’ on Yeh Hai Aashiqui

They say, two people with like minds don’t get along and opposites attract. And to prove the same, reel life couple of the most awaited movie – Hasee toh Phasee were recently spotted on the sets of bindass’ show Yeh Hai Aashiqui. Surprisingly, while on the show, the hunk du jour Siddharth Malhotra and Bollywood’s bindass actress Parineeti Chopra revealed how the episode is similar to that of their movie. Talking about the same, the two said, “Their story is also like Senti and Mental, which are our characters in the movie; two completely opposite people falling in love with each other.”

This time, Yeh Hai Aashiqui narrates the tale of a geeky boy and a pretty girl who are complete opposites, in every manner possible. There is no love between them and their marriage starts off as a rough ride. But, the two eventually fall in love with each other.



Television actor Anurag Sharma has been roped in to play the role of the geeky boy and Khyati Mangla will be seen playing the role of the female protagonist. The episode will be hosted by television actor Rithvik Dhanjani who will take the viewers through the entire story.

Gautam Rode who plays Saras in Star Plus’ romantic saga ‘Saraswatichandra’ seems to be really happy these days. Trouble and clouds will finally disappear in Saras’ and Kumud’s life. Sahara One gives Indian Television the first ever ‘FIRANGI BAHU’

As more and more foreign nationals come to India, one is often prompted to ask “Can a foreigner feel at home in India?” Sahara One will address this question through its brand new, light hearted family show ‘FIRANGI BAHU’ to go on air from Monday, November 11 at 7:30 p.m. The show will put forth a concept that has never been seen in the history of Indian Television: a foreigner who comes to stay in her sasural in India.

It is a well known fact that foreigners are fascinated by India, its colorful festivals, traditions and diverse cultural heritage. This fascination makes them want to try and become a part of Indian culture. At the same time Indians too, are quite curious about the West. They have accepted Western influences on Indian food, attire, art, music and many other things. However when it comes to the sacred institution of marriage, Indians still consider people from the West to be unwelcome representatives of a world that is too different and alien. And it is amidst this background that ‘FIRANGI BAHU’ is set.

The show will take viewers through the journey of a British girl, Camili Jonathan, who marries into the conservative Desai family in Rajkot, Gujarat.

The story starts with Pranay Desai (Rohit Bhardwaj) the youngest son of the Desai family, who is in London for higher studies and meets Camili Jonathan (Sippora).

Slowly through her eyes, Pranay begins to see India, his own country, in a new light. He begins to admire things that he had overlooked over the years, despite being an Indian himself. In the process, Pranay falls in love with Camili’s simple lifestyle and her perspective of India.

Aware of his conservative family background, he decides to marry Camili in London and return to India.

Siddharth Kumar Tewary finally finds Draupadi

After a massive search, Star Plus' upcoming magnum opus Mahabharat has finally found its Draupadi. Pooja Sharma, a girl from Delhi who moved to Mumbai a few years ago to pursue her acting dream, has been chosen to play this iconic character. Her look in the show, along with the rest of the cast's, has been visualised by Oscar-winning costume designer BhanuAthaiya and designed by NidhiYasha.

“We have learnt that Draupadi was a combination of an extremely strong and beautiful character therefore the colour red will be seen in most of her costumes. The fabric being used is lightweight sheer silk and all the costumes have also been embroidered by hand.”" says NidhiYasha who spent over 4 years of pre-production on designing the look of the characters visualized by BhanuAthaiya is geared up to bring out a magnificent treat for the viewers.

She also adds, “The jewellery that she will be wearing will have the lotus symbol depicting beauty and elegance. Creating her jewelry wasn’t an easy task. Samples were sourced from Kolkata, Gujarat and South India. In fact, Draupadi is the only character wearing stone jewellery.”

Mahabharat writes a new chapter on Indian Television

From Saas-Bahu Drama to the shows that deal with epic historical tales, small screen has certainly come a long way. From hiring various professionals from Hollywood/Bollywood, TV producers have left no stone unturned in the making of a movie. Of course, as the scope of the show increases, so does its budget. One of the most awaited shows and the most expensive television show Star Plus’ Mahabharat is all set to roll the curtains up this September 16th at 8.30 pm. Producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s cinematic interpretation will be approximately as expensive as a film’s box office record.

Mahabharat will be recognized for its magnificent costumes and larger than life sets. The set, designed by the veteran production designer Omung Kumar, is spread across 10 acres of land at Umargaon. The crew had a mean task of constructing floors on the land before creating the set up. The show has been shot at exotic locations across India like Kashmir, Jaisalmer, Jaipur, Bedaghat, Ahmedabad etc. Makers have even gone further to places like Nepal, Sri Lanka to zero down on the perfect location.

Siddharth Kumar Tewary is sure that the epic will instantly capture the hearts of Indian audiences everywhere due to its grandeur and accuracy to detail. Making the show no less than a masterpiece, the makers have heavily invested in technology, for example Red camera’s which are used for movies worldwide are being used to shoot the epic. The production and creative team is of around 400 people, the graphics has more than 150-200 people working. The epic will have extensive use of visual effects and 3-D conversion; Mahabharat is all set to write a new chapter in today’s time and will be recognized for the technological breakthrough made on Indian television.

Shaheer Sheikh prepares for Star Plus’ Mahabarat as Arjun

As they say, one’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things, and no one can understand this sentiment better than Shaheer Sheikh. Hailing from a modest family in Kashmir, Shaheer has taken the road less traveled and is currently preparing to don probably the biggest role of his lifetime. Shaheer will be seen as ‘Arjun’ in Star Plus’ magnum opus ‘Mahabharat’ that is soon to hit the tube.

One of the most inspirational characters from the epic, Arjun, the name depicts strength, victory and more important purity. Realizing the weight of this colossal dream, Shaheer explains, “I always wanted to play a character of a warrior prince.

There is something majestic about holding a sword. So when I was approached for the role I was completely game.” But this was not a cake walk for Shaheer! As they say there is No Pain, No Gain, Shaheer had to adopt more obedience into his lifestyle, cut down on his outings and food habits to follow a strict regime and a way of life. All of this and much more was put in action…. in order to not just look the part but live like Arjun and showcase inherent characteristics of a peerless warrior.

He had to work on his physique, over all composure, develop focus on tasks. In order to not over expose himself and look the part, Shaheer chose to not take up any other role and deviate from his main goal. For over a year he declined offers that came his way to locked himself up at home to prepare for Arjun. We have heard film stars do this when they prepare for films… this just says that television and our stars are matching every step leaving no stone unturned to wow the audience! Atta boy!

Mahabharat to be shot at Amber Fort

 

The Amber Fort in Jaipur is a favourite with filmmakers and TV serial producers alike when it comes to shooting historical or mythological sequences. And now, the fort is soon going to witness the shoot of another epic - this time, the Mahabharat which is scheduled to air on Star Plus.

According to a source associated with the show, "The cast and crew of the show, being helmed by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, will head to the Pink City to shoot either by the end of August or in the first week of September. They are planning to shoot the introduction sequence of the Kauravas and Pandavas at Amber Fort."

At present, the team is also scouting for locations on the outskirts of Jaipur to shoot some war scenes. "The makers want to shoot in the city because it provides the perfect setting for the show. Also, the weather will be pleasant around that time," says the source, adding that actors like Shaheer Sheikh (who's playing Arjun), Rohit Bhardwaj (playing Yudhisthira) and Arav Chowdhary (as Bhishma Pitamah) will be present in the city.

The show, which is expected to go on air mid-September onwards, has earlier had shooting schedules in Kashmir and Jaisalmer.

The show Kaun Banega Crorepati KBC-6 started again on Sony with an enthusiasm for the people of our country. The host of the show is the veterinary actor Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. He starts the show with a poetry based on the power of knowledge “Na Roop Kaam Aata Hai, Na Jhoot Kaam Aata Hai, Na Jaati Kaam Aati Hai Na Baap Ka Naam Kaam Aata Hai, Sirf gyan hi aapko aapka hak dilata hai”. This poetry gives us a message how much knowledge is important for us.

It gives a chance for a common man to see dreams of their wish and then convert it into real by winning it. People from across the country come to participate in this most popular game to sit in the hot seat. Some go to meet the great actor Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and some to win the prize money to fulfill their dreams. Every time this show has brought a common man desires, their difficulties and their living style live on television.

Kaun Banega Crorepati is the game show based on the UK game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Kaun Banega Crorepati first aired in 2000 and was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, his first appearance on Indian television.

KBC initially offered the contestants a chance to win up to one crore Rupees, but doubled this in 2001 to two crore Rupees, and as the popularity increased more and more in 2010 the show again changed the prize money to five crore rupees with a jackpot question. The show became a massive hit with audiences and broke many TRP records.

CNN IBN awarded Indian of the year- entertainment to team Kaun Banega Crorepati and Amitabh Bachchan. The show also grabbed all the major awards for its category. The biggest winners who fulfill their dreams by winning Rs 1 crore from KBC are Harshvardhan Nawathe 1st winner of season-1 the 27 year old Mumbaikar who had just appeared for his IPS exam, a 14 year old Ravi Saini from Vishakhapatnam won Rs 1 crore in KBC Junior, Vijay and Arundhati Raul from Rourkela won Rs 1 crore in KBC ‘Pati-Patni’ special, Ajay and Kajol played for charity on a Dusserhra special episode, Brajesh Dubey an electronics engineer from Guna won Rs 1 crore in season 2, Rahat Taslim is the first female to win Rs 1 crore in KBC and at that time she was running a tailoring class and had just Rs 3 of talktime credit on her cell phone and she used it to send an SMS to enter the show, Sushil Kumar a computer operator from Bihar was on of the fortunate to won the Jackpot of Rs 5 crore in season 5 who was earning only Rs 6000 per month, Anil Kumar Sinha a banker by profession won Rs 1 crore, Manoj Kumar Raina a railway employee from Jammu won Rs 1 crore in season 6.
