Airtel Digital TV launches 4K- Ultra HD channel
New Delhi, October 9, 2015: Airtel Digital TV, the DTH arm of the third largest mobile services provider globally Bharti Airtel, today announced the launch of its first 4K-Ultra HD (UHD) channel. Airtel also announced that it will showcase the world TV premiere of Salman Khan starrer blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijan on the newly launched channel (channel number 400/158) on coming Sunday, October 11. Airtel’s 4K UHD channel provides the best of picture quality which is 4 times superior to regular HD channels and will customers to engage in a theatre like experience in the comfort of their home.

Bajrangi Bhaijan is the first movie to premiere on Airtel’s 4K UHD channel. Available exclusively to users of the Samsung Smart Direct TV, the movie from Star Gold 4K will premiere at 12:30 pm on Sunday.

The Samsung Smart Direct TV is an integrated digital TV pioneered and launched by Airtel Digital TV in partnership with leading TV manufacturer Samsung. It is among the many innovations by Airtel and is a technology platform that has miniaturized the set-top-box into a small smart card that fits inside the television set at the back panel. The elegant solution offers a smart TV viewing experience with minimal signal loss and maximum audio & video clarity while also ensuring maximum power savings.

An industry first, it uses minimal wiring and a single remote solution powered by an intuitive user guide enabling built-in Smart Card that allows customers to enjoy TV viewing without an external set top box. The newly launched Samsung J-Series Smart Direct TV comes with additional features such as in-built Wi-Fi, Skype calling, Smart Apps etc.

Airtel’s 4K UHD channel is available completely free of cost to users of the Samsung Smart Direct TV for a limited period. Airtel will also showcase programs like Overhalin (from Discovery) and blockbuster movies like Singh is King, Kick, Jai Ho etc. on the channel over the coming days.

Music Launch of Charlie Kay Chakkar Mein
New Delhi, 8 October, 2015:  Delhiites were treated to a night of scintillating music and high glam quotient with the Music Launch of Charlie Kay Chakkar Mein. Directed by Manish Srivastava and produced by Karan Arora the film is an investigative thriller which stars Naseeruddin Shah alongside other award winning actors.

Delhiite Shweta Sharma who performed with Neha Kakkar and Abhijeet Sawant at the launch will be soon seenon the silver screen in the very seductive promotional song "I am Single ready to mingle …" sung by Neha Kakkar, AJ Singh and is composed by Harry Anand.

The tittle track “Charlie Kay Chakkar Mein” is a racy foot tapping number which shows Shweta as the narrator.  “The word ‘Charlie’ has a lot of connotations to it, It’s a slang for cocaine as well and for the very first time we have introduced a concept of negative Charlie. The song involves a lot of drama and as the song unfolds a lot of chaos unravels”, says Karan Arora Producer of the film.
The song is sung by Neha Kakkar and Abhijeet Sawant and music directed by Vishal Seagal while Sandeep Nath has given the lyrics.

Present on the occasion Shweta added, “I am Single ready to mingle is pictured on me and is a very catchy song. Me and Neha share a very good rapport and decided to something really extraordinary with this song. I am sure it will top the charts all across the country.”

The music launch was attended by the glitterati of Delhi with well known singers like Bhuppi, Dilbagh Singh, Nayantara, Rohit Kulkarni and AJ Singh.

Bipasha Basu to debut on small screen with horror show

Speculations have been rife about Bipasha Basu, having ruled the Horror genre with a series of movies, venturing to television with a horror show. Well the grapevines can now rest as the Bong Bombshell has chosen a project establishing her mark in the Horror genre on the small screen after series of scare fests on silver screen. Just like the projects that Bipasha has been associated with be it the Raaz series, Aatma, Creature or Alone, this one too is quite unique and is called Darr Sabko Lagta Hai. Sources close to the developments confirm that the show is a TV mini-series in the horror genre, and will be anchored by the actress. There will be a creative director to oversee the show as a whole. But different directors will helm different episode. The show will see Bipasha in a new avatar – like that of a ghost? Well that remains to be seen. Sources also inform that the series is going to be episodic and will see a host of horror stories that will play out week after week.

Nawazzudin Siddiqui to host a Special Episode of Savdhaan India

This weekend, Savdhaan India brings to you a fresh episode of suspense, drama and a spine chilling story of HemrajManjhi. This special episode will be hosted by none other than Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

The story revolves around HemjManjhi, who is a trusted owner of a fleet boat business and Charan Singh who is a civil contractor and is constructing a bridge near the river. . Hemraj has daughter named Gudiya who always carries her doll with her.

Hemraj doesn’t like Gudiya at all as he holds her responsible for his son’s death. On the other hand, Charan comes across as nice and sweet to her. One day, Hemraj’s and his wife Fulwati have an argument after which Fulwati convinces Hemraj to drop Gudhiya at her sister’s place.

But Gudiya goes missing. Fulwati finds the stuff that Gudiya had carried and suddenly remembers a tantric who said that if they want a son, they’ll have to sacrifice Gudiya. When Hemraj didn’t react much to this, everything now points towards him being the murderer and Fulwati gets him caught by the police.

Rakhi Sawant is all set to make an entry as ‘Rakhi’ in SAB TV’s Chidiya Ghar. The actress will be seen playing a dance teacher and will be starting to shoot soon. She enters the show sometime later next week and it is believed that her character will create a lot of confusion and suspicion in Chidiya Ghar.

A source on the set said, “Rakhi will be playing the role of a dance teacher in Gomukh’s school. Her character will be modelled on the lines of Sushmita Sen from Main Hoon Na. Rakhi’s character will be a glamorous one and Mayuri will think that there is something brewing between Gomukh and her which will lead to a lot of confusion and light moments.”

Because for the first time on Indian television and on a reality show, there were three pairs of identical twins who participated in the audition round and left the judges mesmerized and perplexed. Mesmerized with their beautiful voice and perplexed because the judges couldn’t decide which twin was better than the other.

So what did the judges do? Simple. They treated each pair of twin as one participant with each pair singing the same song together.

Mihika Verma (of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein) kept her word when she introduced her brother and actor Mishkat Varma aka Kabir of Nisha Aur Uske Cousins to her co actor Divyanka Tripathi aka Ishita of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

Mishkat, who is a big fan of Divyanka, had told his sister about how he wishes to meet her someday. So Mihika introduced the two at the recently held 15 year celebrations of the Star Parivaar Awards 2015.

Divyanka even kissed Mishkat on stage on Mihika’s request. Divyanka said, “Mihika is like a sister to me and Mishkat is such a sweet person. Mihika had mentioned to me several times about him being a big fan but somehow we never really got to meet. And when we meet at the Star Parivaar Awards, Mishkat was really sweet and when the two of us were on stage at the same time, I felt it would be nice to surprise him with a kiss, which I did and his smile was priceless.”

One of the stories aired are ‘Sasural’ where the hero is from Hardoi who after doing his MBA was living in Delhi. He falls in love with a girl from Delhi girl and gets married. However, the city bred girl who was worried about how life will be in a small city like Hardoi is reluctant to go there. When the boy finally comes to his city with his newly-wed wife, he is amazed to see a flyover being constructed there. “So much development in last two years!” he asks himself. The story moves on and talks about how his newly-wed wife falls in love with Hardoi and accepts the city as her Sasural.

The other story ‘Sadak’ revolves around Bangarmau in Unnao where roads are being constructed. This is an oblique reference to construction of Lucknow-Agra expressway where the female lead of the story states that now people use this road to return to their villages too.

The segment showcases Uttar Pradesh for the state that it is and listeners will get to see it from a different perspective owing to its vast fertile lands, beautiful farms, great rivers, large electronics industry and innumerable opportunities for growth and enormous possibilities of enterprise and success. All the stories make reference to the history and cultural aspects of the place also popularizing the tourist places of the state.

U.P. ki Kahaniyan with Neelesh Misra airs across 27 cities in 13 states from Monday to Friday at 8:45 pm. The segment is being promoted with more than 20 teasers running on each station of 92.7 BIG FM with RJs extensively speaking about the segment. Eros International Acquires Global Rights to Excel Entertainment’s Dil Dhadakne Do & Bangistan

MUMBAI, India--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eros International Plc (NYSE:EROS) (“Eros”), a leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry, announced today it has acquired the international rights of Excel Entertainment’s eagerly awaited films – Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do and Karan Anshuman’s Bangistan.


Dil Dhadakne Do features an ensemble cast including Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma and Shefali Shah. The film is a drama centered around a dysfunctional Punjabi family on cruise trip overseas.

Karan Anshuman’s Bangistan is a hilarious parody starring Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat as two rival, blundering terrorists with Jacqueline Fernandez making a special appearance.

Speaking on the announcement, Jyoti Deshpande, CEO, Eros International Plc said, “We are pleased to once again partner with Excel who are known for making films that entertain as well as consistently offer a fresh take on cinema.
