Trackers which are already being used successfully in plants across Europe, USA and Asia make a lot of economic sense for any medium to large solar installation, because, while their cost can be recovered in less than three years, they offer a potential return on investment as high as 600% to 800%. Failure to use tracker means failure to make profits.

The brand will be displaying an array of high end solar power systems ranging from 5KW to multiple of 100KW's. Videocon Telecom registers 43% Growth in Q1

Videocon Telecom registers 43% Growth in Q1


Videocon Telecom, the versatile, friendly and dynamic telecom brand of the Indian conglomerate Videocon group, posted an impressive 43% growth in its Net Revenue for GSM business in Q1 FY 2015-16 over same quarter last financial year. The telco is targeting a consolidated Topline Revenue of 3000Cr in year 2015-2016.

Going aggressive on Customer acquisition, Videocon Telecom achieved 32% growth in its subscriber base over same quarter last year. While, the June 15 Industry Net subscriber addition numbers are still awaited, within April & May 2015, against the industry net subscriber addition (-) 90 K in the 4 operational circle of the telco , Videocon Telecom added 311K Net subscribers addition . The telco plans to acquire 10 Mn new subscribers this financial year .

Despite the impact of increase in Service tax incidence and reduction in Roaming rates, Videocon Telecom reported a 21% improvement in its NRPM (Net rate per min) in Q1 this year over
previous year. The Telco also reported a 15% growth in its minutes of usage during the same period.

Owing to telco’s strategy to upgrade its Network to 2.75 G EDGE, the telco has been substantially
growing its data revenues. Videocon Telecom has doubled its data revenues in Q1 this year over same quarter last year, surpassing the industry growth. Data now contributes to approx 12% of the telco’s Gross Revenue and the company aims at taking up the data contribution to GR at 15% by end of current Financial Year.

After delivering one of the fastest EBITDA positive in Telecom history in its Punjab circle, the telco is targeting EBITDA positive in its MP and Haryana circles by the end of this financial year. Mr. Arvind Bali, Director and CEO, Videocon Telecom said “Its said, ‘well begun is half done’, and I am pleased with the results of Q1 this year. We have achieved 99% of our targeted Gross Revenue in Quarter 1, and this is despite the increase in Service Tax incidence and Roaming rate implication. Our GSM Net Revenue is up by 43% over same quarter last year, and all KPIs, be it gross level or unit level, look promising.

Being a new entrant, our strategy was to attain incremental Customer and Revenue market leadership in our operational circles, and we have been able to achieve the same , while the June ’15 Industry Net Subscriber addition numbers are still awaited, in April and May’15 , the Industry Net adds in our 4 operational circles was (-) 90K , while we added 311 K net subscribers .We aim to maintain and accelerate this growth rate further.

We are targeting over 10 Mn new subscriber acquisitions, Top line Revenue target 3000 Cr and EBITDA positive in MP and Haryana telecom circles in Financial Year 2015-2016 .” Mr. Bali added.

Insecticides India Ltd registers a Profit Growth of 37% this Fiscal

New Delhi, May 28: Insecticides (India) Ltd (IIL), India’s leading agro chemicals manufacturing company, reported robust growth in the fiscal ending March 2015, riding on increasing penetration across the country and variety of new products to meet different requirements of Indian farmers.

IIL clocked an increase in net profit of 37 % as against the last financial year, with the net income of the company rising 12 % against the 2013-14 fiscal. At the same time, the quarterly results at the end of March 31, 2015 showed an increase in net income of almost 20 % as against the quarter ending March 31, 2014.

The company’s net income from sales during the period April, 2014 to March 2015 stood at Rs 964.19 crore as against Rs 864.08 crore during the preceding financial year. As compared to Rs 135.24 crore net income from sales in the quarter ending march 2014, the quarter ending March 31, 2015 produced a net income of Rs 160.84 crore.

IIL recorded impressive growth across all key performance indicators including Turnover, Profit after Tax (PAT) as well as Earning per Share (EPS).

The basic and diluted EPS this fiscal stood at Rs. 43.26 as against Rs. 31.50 in the corresponding period of last year, a growth rate of 37 %.

Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal, Managing Director, Insecticides India Ltd. (IIL), said he expects growth to be even better this year.

“Last year the climatic conditions were erratic, and farmers also suffered losses due to less rainfall during the kharif season and excess rainfall during the Rabi season. Still, IIL has registered impressive growth. The annual figures are encouraging and clearly indicate a continued growth of market for our products. Our efforts to achieve greater penetration and raise awareness among farmer about judicious use of agrochemicals have brought rich dividends for us. The products launched over the past 2-3 years including Hakama, Pulsor, Xplode and Logo have led the growth figures. With predictions of a timely monsoon, we expect to continue on the growth trajectory,” he said.

The leading and most popular brands in the kitty of IIL include Nuvan, Pulsor, Hakama, Lethal, Victor, Thimet and Monocil. Last year, IIL launched Mycoraja, its first bio-product equipped to promote healthy growth and greater nutrient absorption in a wide range of crops from rice, wheat and vegetables to oilseeds as well as cotton.

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has increased maternity-leave benefits for its full-time and part-time women employees in India to 22 weeks of paid leave, up significantly from the current statutory requirement of 12 weeks.

The new policy, which was effective May 1, also allows employees in India who don't have enough accrued vacation time, but want additional time off beyond the maternity leave, to take unpaid leave for another 12 weeks. Employees also may take an additional four weeks of paid leave if there is an illness directly related to the mother’s pregnancy.

“There is an increasing number of families in India in which both parents have hectic schedules — balancing work and family commitments — while simultaneously caring for children and continuing to advance professionally, which can result in some women discontinuing their careers,” said Parag Pande, Accenture’s Human Resource lead for India and global lead for Learning and Talent Development Operations. “We want to help our people balance life and career choices, supporting them through the joys and challenges of parenting, as they continue to focus on their careers.”

In addition to the maternity-leave benefits, Accenture offers its employees in India up to eight weeks of fully paid adoption leave for primary caregivers of an adopted child, as well as one week of paid paternal leave for new fathers.

Accenture’s comprehensive support for parents in India also includes access to a variety of resources, such as discounted childcare services, interactive parenting workshops, employee assistance programs, and pre- and post-maternity counseling sessions. In addition, employees can work with their supervisors and career counselors to explore flexible work arrangements, such as working from home, where possible.

New Delhi, December 4, 2014: Gigstart, the marketplace that facilitates quick and transparent connections between entertainers and party planners has received seed funding in excess of $ 200,000. The investors include Indian Dream Capital (Mauritius), Rajesh Sawhney (GSF), Rohit Bansal & Kunal Bahl (Snapdeal), Narendra Singh Rawat (FG Wilson), TA Venture Holding Limited, Roshan Abbas and Anand Chandrasekaran.

The funding comes less than one-year into the launch of the marketplace on the back of its steady success in creating value for both sides of the supply-demand chain. The infusion of new funds is likely to be invested in building technology infrastructure, content of superlative quality, hiring key talent to facilitate expansion and exploration of newer geographies.

Atit Jain, Co-Founder, Gigstart, says, “We are pleased at having officially closed the seed round of funding. The faith that the investors have shown in the venture stems from the fact that we have been witnessing 30% month-on-month growth since our inception and the numbers have been particularly positive in the last three months.”

He further added, “Without sounding self-congratulatory, it is pertinent to point out that a platform like ours doesn’t exist anywhere in the world. We aim to channelize the funds in a manner that helps us build a world-class product in terms of scale, reach and value.”

The fresh round of funds will be channelised by Gigstart into four broad domains. Technology building will be one of the core areas of investment with a focus on scaling up the product so it can seamlessly handle the rapidly-increasing traffic on the site. Content creation and promotion will be another major area of emphasis. Gigstart aims to build robust and quality content to attract customers for its services. It will also assist artists in creating videos and audios for better conversions.

Marketing is another aspect that will witness substantial investment. There will be a great thrust on on-ground activities and co-sponsorship of events that become regular affairs and build the Gigstart brand. Hiring of talent across ranks in order to expand both the customer and the artist base will see significant focus.

Expansion of footprint in newer geographies is a core area where the funds will be channelized. Insecticides (India) Limited reports 66 % rise in Q2 net profit at Rs 22.92 Crore; Board recommends bonus share

 New Delhi:  Insecticides (India) Ltd (IIL), the country’s leading agro chemicals manufacturing company, today announced a 66 % increase in net profit for quarter ending September 30, 2014, and the board also recommended bonus share to all the shareholders, resulting in wealth creation for the stakeholders.


IIL’s net profit grew to Rs 22.93 crore from Rs 13.84 crore over the corresponding period last year on the back of encouraging response to its newly launched products and stable production at the new Dahej plant.

In a major step, the board of the company has recommended one bonus share each against two shares to all its shareholders, in a board meeting held today.
The Company’s net turnover rose to Rs 402 crores in the quarter from Rs 340 crores in the same quarter last year, recording a 18% increase.

IIL, which manufactures and markets a gamut of agrochemical products ranging from insecticides to fungicides to weedicides, provides a full basket of agrochemicals’ solutions to farmers. Its leading products are Pulsor, Hakama, Logo, Nuvan, Thimet, Lethal, Xplode, Victor, Hijack and Monocil which it calls “ten power brands”.

On the company’s performance, Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal, Managing Director, Insecticides India Ltd. (IIL), said, “The increase in net profit is very encouraging for us in the scenario. I would accredit this to our broad product strategy i.e. working on 20 products, Navratnas and Super 11, which reduces the dependence on 1-2 products. Our products Pulsor (Marketing Tie up with Nissan Japan) for Paddy and Logo (Own Brand and technical Manufacturing) for cotton have received overwhelming response, and so do have our other products, leading to rise in our top line. This makes us very optimistic about other following quarters too. Our Dahej Plant has also stabilized its activities and is adding to the bottom line.


We have recently inaugurated our R&D Centre in JV with OAT Agrio Company Ltd., Japan at chopanki, which makes us optimistic for many more products in the kitty in the times to come. Commercial production at new chopanki formulation plant in Rajasthan has also started recently. ”


The basic and diluted EPS this quarter stood at Rs. 18.08 as against Rs. 10.91 in the corresponding period last year.

On recommendation of the bonus shares, Mr. Sandeep Aggarwal, CFO commented: “The Company has been performing very well over these years, and so we have actually acknowledged the loyalty and faith of the shareholders in the company, this is the reward for the shareholders for their commitment towards IIL. This will increase the wealth of the shareholders in the long run. Moreover this will increase the float of the shares in the market.”

BBC selects Mindtree for digital testing services

The company has state-of-the-art formulation facilities in Chopanki (Rajasthan), Samba & Udhampur (Jammu & Kashmir) and Dahej (Gujarat). IIL also has technical synthesis plants at Chopanki and Dahej to manufacture technical grade chemicals such as Imidacloprid, Acetamiprid, Dichlorovos, Lambdacyhalothrin, D-Trans Allethrin, Glyphosate, Butachlor and Thiamethoxam etc. Providing the competitive edge by backward integration.

In 2012, IIL entered into a tie up with Japan’s Nissan Chemicals Industries Ltd to launch Pulsor, a patented fungicide for Paddy and Hakama, an advanced selective herbicide, in the Indian market.

Most recently, the company has also partnered with Japan-based Otsuka AgriTechno Co. Ltd (OAT) to set up a Joint Venture (JV) for research and development (R&D) of new agrochemical molecules. The two companies are setting up a state-of-the-art Research Centre in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, which will employ both Japanese and Indian researchers.
