Honda unveils new motorcycle LIVO
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) - the only 2Wheeler company of Honda in India ushered in the ‘Time To Live’, unleashing the new 110cc LIVO.Ready to excite the aspirational first time bikers.

Powered by the proven 110cc 4-stroke Advanced Honda engine that comes with magnificent enhancements, thanks to Honda Eco Technology (HET), the new LIVO is a fusion of advance design and practicality. With its latest offering, Honda is set to reignite its relationship with India’s youth, comprising of students, executives and young entrepreneurs.

With urbane sharp looks and modern styling, the new LIVOhas been conceptualized in accordance to the needs of a first time biker.A combination of sharp headlight and detailed air duct shape, lend an aggressive and premium front-look to the new LIVO. The dynamic tank shroud,a curved fuel tank, and black-alloy wheels give the new LIVO a sporty finish. Advanced Technology ensures best combination of Power Performance and MileagePowered by Honda Eco Technology (HET), the proven110cc 4-stroke engine boasts of an improved combustion efficiency, which increases compression ratio allowing the New LIVO to deliver a class leading mileage of 74 kmpl* (*Mileage on Honda Mode). The advanced Honda engine on this stylish motorcycle is capable of providing the extra-thrust of power. The pioneering Honda Intelligent Ignition Control System (HIICS) technology enablesthe engine to deliver power output as per load conditions.

Comfort & Convenience

The innovative ergonomics new LIVO provide for comfort of both the rider and the pillion irrespective of the road conditions. Because of its upright handle position, the rider can clock long distances at stretch without any strain. With a wider turning angle, the new LIVO is easy to maneuver in tight traffic conditions as well as narrow roads and lanes. The longer wheel base, and the 5-step adjustable rear suspension provide more stability on bad roads & at higher speeds. The increased ground clearance also allows it to comfortably tackle bad roads.


Considering the hazardous and uneven road-conditions in India, Honda has equipped the new LIVO with tubeless tyres, reducing the chances of immediate deflationin case of puncture. During dense traffic requiring frequent gear shifts, full gear lever helps make riding convenient. The viscous filter does not need to be cleaned regularly and requires only to be replaced after 16000 kms. The batteryis maintenance free and doesn’t require a top-up, invalidating the chances of leakage completely.

Hero MotoCorp: 5 Year Warranty on all Two Wheelers

Hero MotoCorp, on all its two wheelers in India, announced a five-year warranty. The Warranty for motorcycles is 5 years/70,000km whichever is earlier and for scooters it is 5 years/50,000km. Sr. Vice President (Marketing & Sales) Anil Dua said that, Hero MotoCorp is the first manufacturer in the country to offer this benefit.


The warranty scheme could attract more bike buyers in India, since the company is the first to offer warranty for five years. The auto markets could see further rise in the sales of bikes despite sluggish economy.

TVS Motor sales grow by 14% in June 2011

The two-wheeler sales of the Chennai-based company TVS Motor Company has registered a growth of 14% to 1,82,456 units in June 2011. While the company had sold 1,59,688 units in June 2010.

The sale of motorcycles has been increased by five per cent comparing to previous years sales. All the products including scooters were increased during this period.

TVS Motor has started express service at Jyoti Motors in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha state.
