Heroin and Fake Currency Seized at Indo-Pak Border

In a significant development, the Border Security Forces of India (BSF) has seized 18 kilogram of heroin and fake Indian currency worth around Rs 5 lakhs rupees near Indo-Pak border on Tuesday.

The BSF personnel were on patrol and caught the movement across the border fence, and when the intruders were challenged they escaped towards Pakistan.

During the combing operation after the suspicious movement at along the border, the BSF personnel found, 18 packets of heroin and one packet containing fake Indian currency notes worth Rs 4, 87,000 in the denomination of Rs 1000.

Man Kills 8-Month-Old Daughter, Because He Wanted a Son

At Gandipet village in the outskirts of Hyderabad city, a man allegedly killed his eight-month-old daughter by throwing her into a well because he wanted a male child, police said.

The couple already has a 3-year-old girl and he badly wanted a son when his wife delivered for the second time.

The police said E Ramulu, a laborer, made his wife drink toddy with him last night. When his wife was sleeping, he picked up the baby girl and threw her into a well in the nearby field and then returned to his bed.

In the morning, playing innocent he asked his wife about the baby and started searching her, but when the villagers suspected and questioned him. At last he confessed his act, and showed the well to villagers before escaping from the spot.

Police said, the girl's body was later retrieved from the well, police said. Narsingi police have registered a murder case against Ramulu and are searching for him.

5 CRPF Jawans killed in Terror Attack in Srinagar

A CRPF camp was attacked by terrorists in Srinagar on Wednesday. According to reports, five CRPF Jawans were killed and seven were injured.

Two terrorists were killed in the encounter. Confirming the attack, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said, two civilians were also injured in the terror attack on CRPF jawans in Srinagar and have been rushed to hospital.

Firing reportedly took place near a school, in the Bemina area of Srinagar, as the school was closed no children have been injured. Inspector General of Police, Srinagar SM Sahai said, "The kids were playing outside when the attack happened."

Divya, 23 yr Old Employee Hacked to Death in Public

A 23 year-old employee named Divya, was brutally hacked to death in Bangalore, by some unidentified bike-borne assailants in front of the public, police said.

Divya is an employee in a private firm. When she was heading to her home late last evening, the assailants waylaid her and slashed her repeatedly on the neck and face with a machete before speeding away on their bike, Police said.

The people on the road, who found Divya bleeding with injuries, shifted Divya to a private hospital.

Deputy Commissioner of Police South-East Division P S Harsha said. "We have definite clues about the assailants. We are going to nab them very soon,"

According to Police, a friend of Divya was reported to have proposed to her last month, but she turned down the proposal, as she had already chosen her life partner.

A lover fires at girlfriend's father

A lover today fired at his girlfriend's father leaving him injured here, police said.

While the girl, a B.Com student, was going with her father Rajesh Soni to take an examination, Anshul Gupta followed them on a bike. Anshul had an altercation with Rajesh, at Samjwadi-Indira Nagar, after which he fired at him and ran away leaving his bike and the revolver.

The girl's father, who was bleeding severely, was admitted to a government hospital. His condition was stable and sustained head injuries, city Superintendent of Police Kalyan Chakravati said.

A case has been registered against the accused with the Chatripura police. And, search was on to nab him, SP said.

Damini - Gang-rape victim cremated; UN chief Ban Ki-moon expresses sorrow

Damini, the gang-rape victim, was created on Sunday morning. Many citizens of the country were present at Jantar Mantar, in the heart of New Delhi, mourned the death of brave 23 year old girl, who breathed her last on Saturday in Singapore.

Express deep sorrow over the death of victim the United Nations chief Ban Ki-moon offered condolences to her family members. According to media, Ban Ki-moon has also asked Indian government to take measures to avoid such henious crime against women.

The name Damini, will ever be remembered, she was brutally gang-rapped in a bus in Delhi on December 16. She battled for her life in hospital and breathed her last on Saturday.

Sad Demise of Damini – Delhi Gang-rape Victim

All the prayers and all the wishes that were intended for the Recovery and good health of Damini, the Delhi gangrape victim, went waste, when she took her last breath at 4:45 a.m. (IST)Saturday, with her family and Indian officials at her side.

Attackers assaulted Damini and her male companion, when they boarded the bus on December 16th. The attackers robbed them of their belongings and dumped them at the side of a road, police sources said.

The male companion was discharged from the hospital. But as Damini’s condition was critical she underwent treatment at Safdarjung Hospital, but as her condition was extremely critical, she was admitted in the Singapore hospital on Thursday.

The doctors said, "She had suffered from severe organ failure following serious injuries to her body and brain, but she was courageous in fighting for her life for so long against the odds, but the trauma to her body was too severe for her to overcome."

If all of us want to do anything that will make her soul rest in peace. It will be to see that no other women or girl undergoes the suffering that she went through. We as citizens should do our part, and should raise our voice against such crimes, and should stand together till proper changes are made in laws, and procedures, regarding women protection and safety.

The Government should act at a fast pace, as people wish, and should give severe punishment to those involved only then true justice would be done to Damini.

Ranvir Sena chief Brahmeshwar Singh killed

Tension prevailed at Katira Mohalla in Nawada police station area in the state of Bihar following murder of the chief of Ranvir Sena, Brahmeshwar Singh on Friday morning. Brahmeshwar Singh was shot dead while is was on his way for morning walk. Two tanks were set on fire by angry supporters after the murder of Brahmeshwar Singh who also known as Mukhiya ji. Police I-T sleuths seized Rs 2.5 crore in Ranchi

One killed in Police firing in Punjab

India News: One person killed in Gurdaspur, Punjab in police firing, while another person reportedly injured following communal tension over clemency of Balwant Singh Rajoana, according to media reports.

Manipur blast: Five killed, 20 injured

A powerful explosion ripped off at busy market place at Sangakpham area in Imphal, the capital of Manipur on Monday.Five persons killed and twenty others were injured the bomb blast. Manipur, is the northeastern part of of India, has been in the target of separatist militants for decades.
According to media reports, the bomb was planted on a scooter in the market. Injured persons were rushed to hospital located nearby by the blast area.Taking serious note over the bomb blast in the capital of Manipur, the Chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh has order probe into the matter.

Mumbai Police gets 'Solid Leads' in 13/7 Mumbai Serial Blasts

The Mumbai police claimed to have 'solid leads' in the recent Mumbai triple blasts on July 13.

One of the senior police office said that the investigation into the blasts were on proper direction and anytime the sketch of a suspect will be released.

Police have been observing the cc footage from the blast site and might get through deriving some solid clues about the blasts.

The death toll in the Wednesday's blasts at Dadar, Zaveri Bazar and Opera House mount to 19 and 100 others were injured.

Dilshan Murder Case: Police arrested Army Officer

The police said to be arrested an retired army office Raja Raman, in the murder case of Dilshan in Chennai. CB CID has been investing into the case. Dilshan was shot dead last Sunday.
