Give me Five Questions - Please?

IN · · Leave a Comment
BJP' s five questions
There is series of 'Five Questions' quzz everywhere from Delhi to Goa. BJP put five questions to Aam Admi Party (AAP) for Delhi elections. Why Congress should calm of the issue? So, it came put 'Five questions' to BJP in Goa.

BJP asked the question the AAP and media has all the five questions. But, Congress's five questions set for BJP is not disclosed, it has prepared but not unfold the cards yet. Seems, Congress party has assigned its top brass leaders in the assignment to prepare these questions.

One thing is missing in the five questions, are these questions has any relation with Common Man,,,may be not. Here, I would like to pay tribute to 'Common Man' , the great cartoonist  R K Laxam, who is no more. In the field of journalism he left is mark for ever.

Lets come to main topic of five questions sets. There is one more question about these 'five questions'... why only five.. why not 10 or 20? Who is stopping anyone to raise questions? Recently we celebrated 66th Republic Day and we have many questions for the leaders those ruled us for nearly 6 decades.

Parties have been ruling the country and so as the people electing them for these time. A lay man may have questions, but the drawback is he or she has no voice.. means party or any power? Another interesting about this - just like game shows - question will remain but other things will change.

Will the parties be raise these questions once the election are over? If yes, then we are in true democracy, and if not then election, politics are just eye wash.

Congress marks 130th Foundation Day

The Congress party of India has celebrated its 130th foundation day in AICC headquarters in New Delhi today. Sonia Gandhi presided over a meeting of Congress party men in the meeting.

It is noteworthy, that the Vice President  Rahul Gandhi was not present in the party meet according to media reports.

This year the party has failed in Lok Sabha election and assembly elections held in states including Jammu & Kashmir and Jharkahan.

In those states, the party lost its base on the contrary, the BJP has gained its fame in those states. Even once Congress ruled states are now out of the party hands, and BJP formed government in those states.

In Odisha, the Congress party made some changes to its party leadership in the state, Prasad Kumar Harichandan was appointed the chief of state Congress unit, after return of Janaki Ballav Patnaik, who recently ended his tenure as Assam Governor.

The Congress party would try to exhibit its strength in the next elections, and the party leaders need to sort out many issues to make this more powerful in all the states and in centre as well.

Current Political Scenario: Federal Front

IN · · Leave a Comment
federal front
The concept of Federal Front could be the final alternative to form the government at the centre if at all the major national parties – Congress and BJP failed to form the government after the 2014 elections.

In the latest development, moving forward to concrete the Federal Front , the Chief Minister of West Bengal and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee discussed with the president of YSR Congress Y. S. Vijayalakshmi .

The Federal Front would become strong after both YSR Congress and TDP becoming members of this new coalition of parties to form government at the centre.

In Andhra Pradesh, the YSR Congress has been gaining popularity among the people as the former chief minister YSR Rajasekhar was the veteran leader of Congress.

On the other hand, the BSP supremo Mayawait recently criticised the BJP’s top leader Narendra Modi, who could be the candidate in the race to be projected as PM candidate for the BJP.

BSP might consider accepting the coalition with the Federal Front at the centre after the elections, but that certainly depends on the performance of the Congress and UPA.

At present, the BSP and SP have been supporting the UPA II from outside and the scenario could change drastically after the 2014 general elections.

Interesting, in the new coalition called the ‘Federal Front ’ has more likely to be Prime Ministerial candidates than any other party in India. It would be interesting to see, how the coalition would form the government and to whom they are going to project as Prime Ministerial candidate.

Congress to Shine in Odisha?

IN · · Leave a Comment
odisha congress
After Karnataka, the Congress party may eye for victory in Odisha. The political scenario in Odisha is quite similar to Karnataka. There B S Yeddurappa was successful in dethroning the Bharatiya Janata Party. In a move to strengthen the party, the Congress chief has appointed Jayadeb Jena as Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president replacing Niranjan Patnaik.

Pyari Mohan Mohapatra one the key member of the Biju Janta Dal (BJD) left the party and formed his own Odisha Jana Morcha(OJM). There were many media reports that Pyari’s party OJM may damage the vote bank of the BJD. The state is also heading for the mega poll and all the parties have been preparing for the mega battle.

And to strengthen the party in Odisha, the Vice President of Congress party Rahul Gandhi had visited many times and attended party meetings. This time the Congress party seems get back to its original power, as once it was the ruling party in Odisha.

The new Congress chief Jayadeb Jena would have many duties to perform and most them could be organizing the party and making it much stronger to contest election on all the constituencies for the both General Elections and Assembly Elections.

Congress party unit of Odisha had also celebrated the victory of the party in Karnataka. The partymen would be planning for a mega success of their performance in the forthcoming elections, with the new chief of Odisha Congress.

BJP lost in Karnataka

IN · · Leave a Comment
BJP Lotus
The recent verdict by voters in Karnatka have defeated the corruption in politics. BJP was ruling party there, which reduced to only 40 seats, where as Congress gained 121 seats out of 224 legislative assembly constituencies in Karnataka. Election was held for 223 seats on May 5, 2013.

Congress is the single largest party in the state, which will form the government in Karnataka after a gap of 9 years.

The BSY and Lingayat Community have deserted the BJP and brought it to minority in the sate. As expected the BJP has lost the only southern state having rule there. The core issue was the corruption, and BJP had to face the music.

If the same equation works in the next general elections, then Congress-led UPA might face the same, as the list of scam there with coalition government at centre.

The NaMo factor did not work there in Karnatka, and time for the party to streamline its further strategies for the next general elections in India.

Political Scenario for 2014 Lok Sabha Elections

IN · · Leave a Comment
lok sabha election 2014
Now the cards are clear for 2014 mega battle in the country, which is the biggest festival for the political parties. The much awaited General Elections are going to happen in the next year, and a year is very less time for political parties for their preparations for this mega event.

The major political parties in India – Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party, are ready to jump into the action. It’s now clear that Rahul Gandhi, who has been promoted to Vice President of the party, is going to lead the party for the election.

Even the senior leader Kamal Nath told media that he would like to see Rahul Gandhi as prime ministeria; candidate and whole party men would love to have him as Prime Minister.

Rahul Gandhi is the Prime Ministerial candidate for the Congress Party, and its allies might not have any objection with the decision.

The second largest party in India, BJP, there are many front runners for the Prime Ministerial candidate. But Namo.. Narenda Modi, the leader from Gujarat, is the front runner. The recent campaign in Delhi, is enough to project Modi as PM candidate.

However, it is not official that, BJP to have Narendra Modi as Prime ministerial candidate. There are concerns as well with-in the party and in the NDA parties. One of the parties in NDA coalition, Shiv Sena has demanded declaration of the PM candidate from the BJP.

For BJP it would a big concern to maintain support of NDA parties as post election it is the coalition government to be formed. A single party might not get the complete majority to form the government at center.

Any strong opposition could force the BJP to find the best candidate to project as PM candidate, who could help the party to get maximum seats in Lok Sabha election in 2014 and win the confidence of NDA parties.

The role of regional parties would be vital in 2014 Lok Sabha election, as single party might not get the 2/3rd majority to form the government. There are two biggest alliances in India – UPA and NDA.

But the parties like BSP, SP, AIDMK, DMK, TMC, BJD, CPI(M) will be in king maker role for 2014 elections. Among these parties some are in the government and some other supporting outside. It is also clear the equation for 2014 are sure to change and regional parties will chose the alliance as per the victory and opportunity.

Uttar Pradesh seats are going to decide the fate of the parties in the Lok Sabha as it has maximum Lok Sabha constituencies. All the parties have been gearing up the election 2014, but it also big occasion for the voters to franchise their right to vote in choosing right candidate to the Parliament.

Regional Party is Strong or National Party?

IN · · Leave a Comment
If we look at the scenario, since past few elections, the importance of regional parties has been a lot. Regional parties always have an edge over the national parties, because, regional parties take up and are concerned with the, issues and problems relating to the particular region. People put up faith in the regional parties for this very reason, they believe that, regional parties will represent the problems of the region, or look after the needs and immediate concerns, as they are associated with that region.

But when it comes to national party, the concern becomes wider; they need to give attention to the important and urgent issues relating to all the states and regions, and cannot give priority to any one particular region or state. In the recent times if national party has formed government in the center, or a collation government has formed, it is only with the support of the regional parties. Regional parties are playing a key role in the formation, and proper running of the government at national level.

If we look at things, the way, they are working right now, it is merely impossible that a national party will form government at the center, it will be a collation of the regional parties, or if at all, there emerges a situation, where in national party has to chance to form government, even then, it will be only with the support of the regional parties only. So, the role of regional parties is very important, and regional parties are stronger than the national parties, in today’s times.
