Power of Thoughts

IN · · Leave a Comment
power of thoughts
If a man prospers or attains success in his life it is because of his thought process, and if a man remains where he is without any growth and development it is also because of his thoughts. Thoughts play a very important role in shaping the life of a man. Right from childhood so many thoughts are injected into the mind, what kind of thoughts depends on the surroundings?

If the parents and the family members in the family have a positive mind set and know the importance of implanting right kind and positive thoughts into the child’s mind, that child grows up into a confident and positive person. On the contrary if the family atmosphere is not right and the parents themselves have negative thought pattern, it has its effect on the child.

The atmosphere in the family, surroundings the cultural and religious background that we belong to and come from, friends, colleagues our own experiences in life and what we learn and hear from others all these shape a person’s thinking pattern. Naturally we form a habit of thinking and we hardly realize what kind of thoughts we are having and what kind of effect it has on our mind.

Each and every thought has the power of making or breaking our life. So much attention needs to be paid as to what kind of thoughts we are having most of the time during the day. Are we keeping our minds occupied with the right and positive thoughts or are we allowing the mind to wonder here and there, without any direction.

So, if you are a kind of person whose aim is to give life a right direction, keep a check on your thoughts and make it a point that you have only right, encouraging and positive thoughts.

New Government of India: A New Ray of Hope

IN · · Leave a Comment

Having fed up with the increased prices, standard of living and the growing difference between the rich and the poor, the people of India have given their verdict in the form of vote.

New Government is formed in the center by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the able leadership of Narendra Modi, who with his exemplary deeds and leadership in Gujarat has won the hearts of people of India.

The kind of response he got from the people and the way people have showered their love and respect on him in the form of votes reveals to us the fact that people believe in him that he will do good for them. But there are many challenges in front of the new Government that needs to be over come if the progress of the nation is to be put on the right track.

Apart from many other things, there are two very important things that need to be addressed. That is to change the law and constitution according to today’s needs, and to change the face of the reservations. The loop holes in the constitution are acting as boon for those who are corrupt and are selfish. The majority of the problems that are bothering have their origin from constitution and laws that do not actually address today’s needs and problems. So, it is high time that we think of re-framing the constitution as per today’s needs.

The other important thing that needs to be addressed is the reservations system. There may be many number of people who have been benefited from the reservation system, but there are equally or even more number of people who have suffered because of it. So, definitely there is a need for second thought about the reservation system. If these two things are addressed on priority basis, it is sure that many problems that are bothering the nation in today’s time will be put to an end.

So, all the best to the Government of the people, by the people and for the people.

Changing Political Equation in India

IN · · Leave a Comment
indian parliament
The political equation has been changed in India, the recently concluded General Election left many in puzzle. There were many equations have been considered to get a look at 'what could be the election results'.  However, some news channels have rightly projected the election results in their exit poll programmes, thanks to them for their right projection.

The new thing in the election many learnt that election results are more uncertain that thought. Anti incumbency factor was the major reason for the debacle of  Congress in India, but the campaign and personality of NaMo - Narendra Modi - now Prime Minister, that changed many political equation.

The General election has given a clear mandate to BJP, which has its own majority and formed the government with NDA parties. This also clear indication that era of coalition politics has come to an end. Now single party and stable government are the positive signs the country have.

Now the economic reforms could take a pace since having stable government at center.  Political parties, those aim to have their hold in their respective areas might got the message of the people that they would vote for the development.

The next elections would be interesting as the parties would be going to people with theme of development. Politically, the era of coalition and other equations might fail once again.

Avoiding pain, perhaps this is one thing, any human would want to do we all want to avoid pain at any cost. Let it be physical pain or mental pain, none of us want to lead a painful life. But the truth is that we learn the life’s most important lessons only when we are in pain, and we learn to recognize the pain of others only when we have experienced it.

To avoid physical pain we try buying things for our comfort, like using all the machines, let it be a bike, car, or Ac all these are created for our physical comfort and to avoid pain at the physical level. As long as we see through the closed glasses of our cars we don’t know the pain that a common man under goes so we make fun of him and ill treat him. But a day comes when you have to work hard even for a rupee, and are prepared to do anything for it. That day you realize the difficulty of a common man.

Physical pain may be avoided by using more and more machines to work for us. But mental pain, every one experience at one stage or the other, pain of losing a job, pain of ill health, pain of losing a dear one and the list is endless. But the life’s most important lessons you learn only in these phases, you know who your true friends and well wishers are when you are in difficulties.

When you see someone falling sick in your family, you learn that you need to be careful about your health and your dear one’s health. When you lack finances you learn the value of money and its importance in life, you mould your attitude towards it and you prosper never repeating the mistake again. So, there is something for us to learn and grow in life from pain. So, next time when we experience some kind of pain dig deep into the reason, learn from it and grow, because this is the positive side of the pain.

Money Attitude: Right or Wrong?

IN · · Leave a Comment
money-attitude
If there is one thing of concern to everyone in today’s time it is money, money and more money. Right from an ordinary wage earner/ an employee dependent on the pay cheque, or entrepreneur or corrupt politicians and system. Every one’s only main problem is life is how to secure more and more money and how to lead life comfortably.

Money in itself is not bad. It is our attitude towards money that is making us corrupt and forgets morals. If we go back to the history of money, it was invented to make the life a human easy. But on the contrary now it has made our life difficult to live. The main reason behind this is the ever increasing prices and corrupt system that is responsible for concentration of money only with a particular organization or a person.

If any country needs to prosper there should be a flow of money, like water when flows, it quenches the thirst, gives rise to crops, increases life. But when it gets stagnated it becomes polluted and useless. So, individuals who wish to prosper and want to see the nation and world prosper should, earn only that much that is required for a descent living of their family. If one’s income levels are very high than required, it should be distributed in the needy.

In India, in our scriptures it is written as to how to spend the money. It is said earning money is not wrong especially if he is a house holder; it is his responsibility to earn money and to look after the needs of the family members. In the income a part of the money should be kept aside for future needs such as, education, marriage, health concerns, retirement etc., some portion for any unforeseen emergencies, and some portion for the society, for charitable cause. And some money for spiritual concerns.

This is how we need to budget the wages or income that we earn honestly and morally. Money earned in this way and spent in the above mentioned way, always leads to the betterment of the individual and the society at large. But only if we follow this, the other main attitude that we need to have if we want to prosper financially is to always think, hear and do good with money. When you spend money, feel happy that by God’s grace you are able to pay bills and buy things. When you receive money in any form feel happy that by his grace you have earned or received it.

When receiving money, or when receiving wage or income or a gift, let it be a rupee even, don’t feel that it is only small money what will I do with this. Feel happy and be grateful to God that he has blessed you with that. If you continue to exhibit this attitude towards money at all the times and in all circumstances, you will see that circumstances will change for betterment and you will prosper in finances.

Facts about Multitasking

IN · · Leave a Comment

multitasking
These days, there is a lot of buzz about multitasking. In the beginning multitasking was considered an advantage and then slowly, people started noticing the other side of the coin. Let us take a look at some of the advantages and disadvantages about multitasking.

Before we jump into that, we need to know what exactly does multi tasking mean. Multi tasking is performing more than two number of tasks simultaneously.

First let us take a look at some of the advantages of multitasking.

  1. Multitasking is helpful when doing simple tasks. For example while talking to someone over the phone you can do some other work simultaneously. For example you can check your mails while talking on phone or you may listen to music or any other audios of your choice, when doing work either at home or at office.
  2. Most of the times we post pone doing things because of the amount of work especially we don’t begin doing some things because we think it may take lot of time. In such cases multitasking is useful. Even in little quantity if you start doing those works apart from the routine, you will be able to complete them, instead of doing not starting them at all.
  3. Today’s life is very demanding, if we wait to complete one task and then start doing the other. We may not find time to do some tasks at all.
  4. Multitasking teaches us to cope with stressful situation. Especially when you have the burden all on yourself and need to handle things alone.
  5. Multitasking expands our horizons of knowledge and skill.

Disadvantages of multitasking

  1. Studies show that there is a serious effect on productivity by switching from one task to other. The person’s performance ability slows down at a great rate when they have to switch between the tasks.
  2. It has also been found in many researches that a lot of time is wasted, in the process of switching from one task to another.
  3. Research shows that the actual process of shifting our focus from one task to other especially when lot of concentration levels are required, has a lot of psychological pressure as continuous shifting means you have to change your mindset every time for the other role, on and off.
  4. Multitasking keeps one busy all the time but when it comes to results there will hardly be any accomplishments to show as none of the tasks will be completely done.
  5. Multitasking leads to inefficiency. Like answering phone calls, attending to messages and checking mails once in a while, working on a project leads to inefficiency.
In essence multitasking is good when doing simple things. Tasks that don’t require lot of concentration or attention. But while doing those works which need your attention and concentration totally, multitasking is definitely not a thing to do.
