Simple but Effective Measures to Prevent Swine Flu

IN · · Leave a Comment
Swine flu or H1N1 has already claimed over 800 lives in India, including several deaths in Gurgaon and Delhi NCR. However, doctors say educating citizens adopt some simple, expedient yet useful techniques can go a long way in keeping the virus from spreading further.

Recognizing the signs and symptoms, maintaining at least a meter distance from the infected and avoiding crowded places can keep the virus from spreading person to person.

Swine flu
With the swine flu virus claiming hundreds of lives across India and causing a pan-country scare, doctors at Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon have initiated measures to educate people about simple but effective preventive actions that can help the city defeat the deadly H1N1 without panicking.
Apart from displaying informative posters, doctors at Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon are communicating to most of the patients visiting the hospital, be it for any medical indication, about H1N1 and educating them about the preventive discourse.

“We have decided that all the patients who visit our hospital, for whatever reason, need to return completely informed about the swine flu prevention measures and symptoms. It is extremely important to remember that the contracting routes for the H1N1 virus are the nose and the mouth. Therefore the key to prevent the disease is to make sure one does not inhale the virus through these two routes,” says Neeraj Gupta, Sr Consultant Pulmonology, Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon

Apart from all people who are required to maintain hand hygiene, a lot of the responsibility of preventing the spread also lies on the person who is infected. The key is to never take the signs and symptoms lightly.

“If you wake up one morning with flu symptoms like high temperature, cold, cough, running nose and pain in muscles and joints, make sure you keep away from other people and at no cost go to work or to study. Avoid crowded places so as not to infect anybody else and stay at home and contact your physician. Your physician will decide the need of HINI test as mentioned in the government guidelines. One should leave the diagnosis to the doctor and not get scared. However sitting over the disease and self medicating is only not a wise option.” adds Dr Rajesh Kumar, Consultant Internal Medicine, Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon.

Even if we deliberately avoid crowded places like cinema halls, malls and markets, we cannot stay back from travelling to work each day. As we move across the city, taking the public transport, we tend to come in direct contact with a large number of people. At the same time, we come in contact with objects that an infected person might have touched on his/her way. For example, seats in buses, metros, handles, door knobs, tables, public toilets etc.

While one cannot avoid touching all these objects as we move, we can certainly make sure that we do not touch our nose or mouth with unwashed hands. Hence hand hygiene is the single most important aspect of protection against swine flu as is the isolation of the infected patient , adds, Dr Rajesh Kumar, Consultant Internal Medicine, Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon.

Washing hands thoroughly with soap several times a day, carrying a hand sanitizer and using it as and when required is important. You should discard the same after every two hours. The napkins and the tissues should be safely disposed inside a dustbin. Avoiding handshakes are other ways that can minimize your risk of acquiring the infection.

Also important is washing your face thoroughly and cleaning and blowing your nostrils intensely the moment you return home.

“People who are at higher risk should consider vaccination in consultation with their doctors. The high risk bracket includes young children, the elderly, people with respiratory diseases, and others who have a weak immune system,” adds Dr Dr Rajesh Kumar, Consultant Internal Medicine, Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon.

The H1N1 virus originated from pigs, hence the name swine flu. However, the prevalent strain is a mutation of the original virus and unlike the original it doesn’t need animals to spread. It spreads from human to human like other common influenza strains. This is why people who work in crowded places and come in contact with several people every day are at greater risk of contracting it.

Measures to Follow:
  • Washing hands multiple times a day with soap and water
  • Not touching eyes, nose or face with unwashed hands
  • Avoiding hugging and shaking hands
  • Boosting immunity by consuming fruits, vegetables, vitamin c
  • Avoiding crowded public places like cinema halls, markets, recreational spots
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a napkin when you sneeze or cough
  • Dispose your napkins quickly and safely in dustbins
One should lead a normal but aware life. If you are aware of the signs and symptoms you can take important steps to safeguard yourself and your family.

But … I Wish I could… Turn Back Time…

IN · · Leave a Comment
By G.Gayathri

Beautiful song by Backstreet Boys. Every person at least once in his life time would have thought this, I wish I could turn back time, it may seem impossible but I wish I could, and life will never be the same.

Usually this kind of thinking and thoughts come to our mind when we are not happy with our present state of mind and life. It is only then that we start looking back into our past searching for the right times and the good or happy times. Or to put it in a better way we want to take a corrective action so that our life would change its direction for betterment.

But we can only do that in imagination but not in reality. There is definitely one-thing in our hands that we can do make our life better and to feel happy in the situation that we are in.

Turn Back Time
That is to imagine our life from the point of view of future. Imagine yourself standing ahead in life five years or ten years from now, from that point of time if you think of today, how would you lead your life?

What changes do you want to make in yourself and in your life style? What kind of decisions would you take, and how would you utilize the time that you have at present in your hands?

If we try to forget our past, live in the present and think about our future life would always be full of hope and positivity, because it lies in your hands to create your future by acting in the right way now.

So it definitely makes sense to live in the present and to lay a good foundation for our future instead of pondering over I could have or I should have.

All the wise men of the world have said that real wisdom lies in living life as if you are going to die the next moment. Yes that is real living, living life each and every moment with no regrets or tensions because who knows may be this is the last moment and we are no fools to spend it crying or feeling tensed.

Right, so if you are a seeker of happiness and peace and want to live life full and complete, forget the past because it has already passed and has no existence and live this moment full and if possible think good and positively about the future because it makes sense to do so.

Safety in Closed Doors and Closed Hearts?

IN · · Leave a Comment
We feel safe in the closed door of our room or closed door of our house, we feel even safer in the four walls and the boundary of our house.

We have a sense of security when we are with our own family and when some unknown person comes we are afraid.

If we are left in an open place we become afraid we don’t feel secure. What is this safety that we are seeking in the closedness?

We are afraid of talking openly, we don’t want to open our heart and be plain and simple in our day to day interactions with others. Why? Because we don’t want to get hurt or we don’t want to get used by others, or even more valid reason because in that way things don’t happen in today’s world.

Safety
Knowingly or unknowingly we feel secure and safe when we build boundaries and walls around ourselves, whether it is a house or a heart.

We don’t want anyone to penetrate and share our space. Till the time there was only earth there was only the difference of races human and animal, there was only one race human race and every one lived together happily.

But as soon as people started building boundaries and boarders separation of people and separation of hearts started. My country, your country, my state your state, my language your language, my culture and your culture and the list is unending.

In earlier days people used to find safety and security living together and helping each other. Now a days we find it secure and safe in isolation and separation, whether it is humans or states or countries.

There is a huge difference in the times then and now and in the attitude of the people then and know. The lifestyle that we lead and the money race that we are in has hardened our hearts and made us seek safety and security in closeness, instead of being open, we are no longer free, we have imprisoned our bodies in the four walls and we have imprisoned our hearts in unseen walls.

But we have to realize the fact that real life lies behind those closed doors of our hearts and our houses. And the day we open our eyes to this fact and we open the doors of our heart, sunshine comes in throwing away all the darkness and bringing in new life.

Smile A Rare Commodity in Today’s World

IN · · Leave a Comment
By G. Gayathri

We keep hearing about the scarcity of water, food and other things above all these things there is a severe scarcity of the unseen but most precious and important things in today’s life and world those are, smile, peace of mind and happiness. Most of the times we see only long faces, and rarely a smiling and pleasant and peaceful face.

Yes, every one born as human in this earth thrives only for these things, but today man’s priorities have changed and so these unseen and most valuable and essential things have become a rare commodity. Among all the creatures that God has created only humans can smile. But still we find it hard to do it even once a day.

smile
Marketing people stick smile on their faces because they cannot accomplish anything without that. A child smiles because that is his nature and he needs no reason or need to do that. Most of the times we stick a smile on our face only when we have to or need to, but when was the last time we smiled because we genuinely felt like smiling.

There is definitely one thing that is true that if we need reasons to smile and reasons to feel happy that is a rare thing to happen. Because life is a road with many twists and turns and it is always not possible that you are blessed with that situations and the kind of people that make you happy and make you smile.

But there is definitely one thing we can do that is to genuinely try to be happy and to genuinely try to smile because only fools can wait for the right time and the right reason to smile and to be happy. Even the research has proved that if you practice or keep smiling many times in a day you will naturally feel happy and positive, though it is not natural, what we usually do is we smile when we are happy or very peaceful. But if you want to be happy and peaceful keep smiling, this is what the research says.

So, don’t wait for the right situation or the right time to smile, keep smiling and things will turn out to be right.

Medical Colleges – Money Making Colleges

IN · · Leave a Comment
By G.Gayathri

Why people want to opt for studies, professional or research in other countries than in India, our Mother Land? Because it is not the merit and the knowledge that counts when it comes to studies, there is something else that matters to these institutions - that is Money. Government has imposed many rules and restrictions regarding the fees structure and admissions, but they are just limited to papers.

Merit students are unable to get seats in the medical colleges because they cannot afford to pay donations in lakhs and crore. This is not limited to just one college, university or one place or state, this disease is spread across the whole country, especially to the medical institutions. Once two students were traveling in a train and they were talking about career and jobs and one of them who was a medical student said. If you want to settle down well in life financially there is no better business than education and especially medical colleges you open one medical college by doing anything and you are settled for a life time. This is a real incident and these are the real words as it is spoken by a medical student.

Medical Colleges
This is the impression that our system and institutions are conveying to our future generation, especially doctors. Medical Profession has very high respect among any other profession and doctors are considered equal to God because they save our life, but today it has become a mere money making profession what a pity. Colleges take money and give admission to students who do not qualify and have no knowledge, and when they come out as qualified doctors they in turn play with the life of the people.

They are qualified as doctors because of money but not because of the knowledge and the interest and respect they have towards the profession. Such people put people’s life at risk along with their money and imagine if such people go out to work in other countries what will be the reputation of our country? None of these things bother the Medical Institutions and Medical Universities. There are many meritorious students, whose dream is to become a doctor, they studied day and night and got the best qualified ranks that entitle them for a seat in medical college, but they had to face the hard truth that merit does not count only money counts.

A film was made on the same subject, where a poor student who is brilliant in studies and whose only dream in life is to become a doctor ends up committing suicide because he has no money to pay the donation. This is a film but there are people out there in real life who are living with the same hard truth unable to digest the hard fact and unable to do anything against this. When will our system and managements get cured of this disease of seeing medical profession as a money making profession only God knows.

If these people, who pay donations and earn doctor degrees, are the future doctors of this country there is nothing left to say. If there is an impression among the people that rules are limited only to books, it is because of things like these keep happening and it doesn’t make any difference to people who are supposed to follow them. Rules are in their place and we keep doing what we have to.

There is a high need for the things to change and more importantly change in the attitude of the people is needed, that earning money by any means is not the only thing in life, there are some things known as Morals and ethics, and we have no right to play with the dreams and life of the future generation.

It is because of this only reason that though there are many people and especially students, who are meritorious, talented and genius but are unable to do anything, and it is for the same reason that talented professionals try to work for other countries and students who are meritorious and talented prefer to study in other countries rather than our own country. Because there they look only for talent and knowledge and in turn encourage students by giving scholarships and offering them scope for research and development. Let us hope that a day will come when the educational institutions of this country will seek for real knowledge and merit rather than money.

Apartment Blocks Really ‘A-Part-ments’

IN · · Leave a Comment
By G. Gayathri

This incident happened in real. A posh apartment complex in a metropolitan, with all the modern amenities and comforts. It's night ten o clock and someone is having dinner, someone is already asleep and someone is busy with the cores at home.

Suddenly there is lot of activity and everyone is running down to the cellar area, suddenly there is a knock on the door and all of us were asked immediately to switch off the main and leave to the cellar area.

There is some malfunction in the main of the block where all the electricity mains are there and it has caught fire and sparks were already seen in homes at the ground level.

So everyone is immediately alerted and asked to come down. Every one left home as it is and left for down stairs, where everyone is assembled.
apartment

Fire engine has come and everyone is talking about the accident and long it will take to restore the mains and how difficult it would be to manage without electricity.

As it is an apartment complex there are buildings opposite and beside this block where the incident took place. There, from that block, people are peeping from the windows and doors trying to find out what is happening and some are closing their already open doors, switching off lights, as if they have seen nothing and nothing matters to them.

There are nearly four blocks in the complex and not one person from another block has come to find out at least what has happened and offered any kind of help or anything.

All living in the same building, all working in corporate and multinational companies drawing salaries in lakhs, very well educated and living high end lifestyle.

I was wonder struck, what kind of educated persons are we and have our hearts also become so concrete, living in the concrete jungle? Don’t we feel anything for our fellow humans and are we just living life as money making machines and nothing else.

By God’s grace nothing serious happened and everyone was safe. But what kind of humans are we if something happens to a crow all other crows come and at least make noise, animals and birds have this sense, but what happened to humans?

People in the cities feel that they are superior to people in villages and in towns but in a remote place and in villages or for that matter in slums that are there in the cities if something happens every one comes together and stands united. These are the things that we definitely need to learn from them and from birds and animals even.

Let us get back to our basics and the roots from where we hail. Let us try to remember that we are humans and we are supposed to have a responding and sensitive heart. Our greatness and development does not lie in foreign degrees and corporate cheques, but the way behave and lead life, not just living for ourselves and for our family, but thinking of helping others in times of necessity.

ShopClues launches ‘Style My Catalog’ as a value-added service for merchant partners

IN · · Leave a Comment
ShopClues.com,  an ecommerce portal in India, has launched a new service for the benefit of its merchant partners called ‘Style My Catalog’.

As a part of this service, sellers can avail of professional styling assistance for showcasing their merchandise online in the best possible fashion and improve sales. ‘Style My Catalog’ is the first of a suite of value-added services that ShopClues is introducing for the merchants who sell through the platform.

Radhika Ghai Aggarwal, Co-Founder & CMO, ShopClues said, “ShopClues has over 70,000 registered merchants – the largest seller community for an ecommerce portal in India.

Nearly 65% of these are small and medium businesses, many of who don’t have the merchandising expertise or access to marketing tools. Our value-added services are meant to aid such merchants so that they can do better business on our platform.”

“After carefully understanding the shopping propensities of online customers, we have introduced the ‘Style My Catalog’ service to help merchants develop the best-looking catalog for their products. It encompasses a bouquet of professional styling services to create, enhance and enrich the catalog for online sales.

Style my Catalog Screenshot
Our styling experts will pay attention to every small detail regarding the portrayal of merchandise online and will make necessary alterations to help attract more customers and get higher conversions,” she added.

The stylists will focus on aspects such as model shoots, photo shoots of the product, image editing, tech specs and catalog content writing. All the services have been developed after studying what it is that makes shoppers buy a product online. Attractive pictures, high quality shots, variety of angles and clear descriptions convince customers to make a purchase faster hence styling the catalog is an investment and not a cost for the sellers.

Well-designed catalogs get more clicks in the online space and improve the ranking in search results as well. Since the online shopper can’t touch or feel the product, the way the offerings appear in pictures and the aesthetic appeal of the catalog are the only factors that impact the buying decision. ShopClues has devised the ‘Style My Catalog’ service keeping these points in mind.

Merchants can avail of this service at prices as low as Rs. 25 that go up to Rs. 375 only.

Don’t Ignore Oral Hygiene, Ignore 10 Mistakes!

IN · · Leave a Comment
Oral hygiene is as important as any other daily activity of living. But it is one thing not taken very seriously, as in most of the instances people are okay with brushing their teeth only once a day. Flossing is something that that doesn’t even ring a bell to many. Due to little knowledge, people often end up compromising with their oral health. So, knowing just simple what “not-to-do things” can help keep oral health in good shape.

“As brushing is important for keeping teeth in shape, likewise tongue cleaning is important for ensuring proper oral health. Even if simple things are kept in mind, and a few things are avoided, it can help maintain healthy oral state. But people do not take proper care, mainly because of lack of awareness,” says Dr Inderpreet Kaur, Axiss Dental.

  • Two-minute brushing: Avoid too much brushing as it will not lead to whiter teeth, but only steal your enamel away. Losing enamel layer is the first step to tooth decay. So play cautious. Brushing for two minutes is more than enough.
  • Stick to twice a day brushing routine: Do not become content with one time brushing in the morning. Make a habit of brushing teeth before going to sleep too. If not done, the food particles stay lodged in teeth for whole night, letting acids play havoc with teeth.
oral care
Brush properly: Brushing should be a wholesome exercise, involving inner, outer and the chewing surface. Only brushing the outer layer is a very wrong approach as food particles can get stuck anywhere and when not removed will result in plaque.
  • Do not avoid tongue cleaning: Tongue is another area in the mouth that should not be ignored. After brushing and rinsing the mouth, tongue cleaning should be the very next thing to do. If you don’t, you invite bacteria to breed here.
  • Make flossing a habit: Do not avoid flossing your teeth as food particles which get stuck in between the teeth is hard to be removed with toothbrush. So floss teeth at least once a day, though doing so twice is always better.
  • Brush after a gap of having meal: Some eatables are good at producing acids. Brushing immediately after consuming those food items put teeth at the risk of abrasion. So brushing should always be done after a gap of consuming food.
  • Say no to hard-bristled toothbrush: Always choose your toothbrush with caution. A hard-bristled toothbrush will not only damage your precious enamel layer, but also hurt the gums. So spend your money and a little time on buying a right toothbrush.
  • Take care of your toothbrush too: Never keep your toothbrush and tongue cleaner at an unclean place as it may be an invitation to harmful bacteria. Always, rinse your toothbrush before and after brushing and let it dry.
  • Rinse mouth after eating: Not rinsing mouth after meals allows food particles to stay for a longer duration and produce acids which are disastrous for your teeth. Acid is the culprit which erodes your enamel and makes way for cavities.
  • See a dentist twice a year: Avoiding a dentist is just about not being serious about your oral health. Normally, you should see a dentist every six months. A visit to the dentist could help you fight plaque, which doesn’t get removed with mere brushing. Also, any oral health problem, including tooth decay and gum diseases, also come to light in initial stages if dentist is visited regularly.

‘Staring at Infinity’: Scouring For Answers From Life

IN · · Leave a Comment
‘Staring at Infinity’ (SAI) is a touching account of series of life incidents with which people cutting across age can relate to effortlessly. The story that unfolds in fast-paced metropolis keeps going back to the past events in a nondescript village, entwining the two sides of lives to serve painstakingly to its readers various shades of human emotions, struggles and challenges.

The narrator, Radhey, who has retired after an illustrious corporate career is filled with guilt of not having spared enough time for his wife and children, thanks to his busy office schedules. To make up for it, he decides to spend some quality time with his wife – Sujata and three grandchildren, who have been called for a weekend stay with them.

It is during these two fun-filled days with his grandchildren that Radhey realizes he had not been able to give the most precious thing to his daughter, son and wife – his time, devoiding them of small pleasures of life like watching television together, playing hide and seek or even simply taking a family trip. Through his book, the author -- Vinnet Vaidya -- has touched upon various demands and responsibilities of life that have to be met while leading the family life.

Staring at InfinityAfter schooling from Shimla, Vineet did his B.Tech. from Delhi College of Engineering and then his Management course from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai. Vineet's career spans in Automobile and Education organisations. He has worked with Tata Motors, Hero Honda, Career Launcher and Pearson VUE. His inclination towards writing made him come up with his first work in the form of SAI.

The author –– has tried to find a connect between the acts of accusation made by children of favoritism by their grandfather with similar issues rampant in corporate houses; and children doing whatever possible to win a game with employees going off limits in their jobs to outdo others. By quoting an instance where Radhey is offered a bribe by his grandchild to flout rules during a game, Vaidya has tried to highlight the malaise that our country is grappling with and the negative impact it is creating on the minds of children.

Radhey keeps revisiting his past which has undying memories of his own late grandfather, who was fondly known as Masterji in his village. From shaping his childhood and making him able to not only start a life in a metropolitan city like Delhi but also survive there, he recounts that Masterji had played a crucial role. The values that Masterji inculcated in him made him tread the course of initial phase of life without any swaying. However, as life progressed in the hustle bustle of city life and with the fight to make ends meet, Radhey gradually moved away from the values and teachings that were given to him by Masterji. At this point, the author has hit the stark reality of values, handed down by our forefathers, losing relevance amidst the fast-paced and hectic lifestyles.

Radhey himself is aware of the fact and his constant juggle to scour for answers turns out to be an endless journey. Aptly goes the title – ‘Staring at Infinity’. SAI, written in simple and lucid language, will stir the readers to take a relook at their own lives and make corrective changes before it is too late to find answers.

Urban Life is it Really Life?

IN · · Leave a Comment
urban lifestyle
Sunrises and our curtains rise to the problems of mechanical life; we start the day not thinking about the good things and God but about the tasks that are there on our head.

We wake up lifeless and discouraged oh God; need to go to office again. We are always in a race to go in time to office, race to give the best, race to do our duties, and race to excel and to accumulate money, this race knows no end and we keep running and running till we run out of time and energy.

This is the hard truth behind the glittering urban life. We stay in the same home but have no time to see each other faces. We just sleep together and once in a week eat together and are busy completing the other works.

We don’t have time to call our brothers or sisters we don’t even bother to answer their calls, because we are too tired doing our cores at home and at work.

We don’t bother about relationships because we earn enough that we think we don’t need any one. Because money is all that we need in today’s time and we can buy anything with money.

All that bothers to us is our own family me, my spouse and my children and no one else not even our parents. Life in urban areas is like this, we don’t trust the person next to our home we don’t know their faces even if are living there for a long time.

We have nice cars, luxurious flats, and handsome bank balance but we don’t have time to eat and sleep. There is every “thing” in life except “life” this is the real face of urban life.

Top 5 Guidelines as to How We Should Live Life?

IN · · Leave a Comment

purpose of life
All of us have goals and dreams to achieve in life and which play a very important role in molding our life. But there are also guide lines that are common in every one’s life and which every human should know and try to follow. Let us have a look at them.

1. Purpose of Life:
Know the purpose of human life and fulfill that purpose.  Living a life without purpose is just a life, that has not life at all in it. Leading a life should with an aim or goal, and may fail due to having a aimless life or they are in a situation compelled to live like that only. When situations haunt, many become prey to their life leaving the original goal of life. That says, when you simple adopt the situation without struggling for it, it will become your life.

2. Your Ability:
Know and discover the abilities that God has blessed you with and utilize them for the benefit of mankind. Recognizing own ability is the best thing one realizes very late, and that is fact indeed. Ability to do many things or multiple tasks is the efficiency that everybody does not have. When you stand by any person to help out with your own ability, then simply follow the rule that you are not going to get the same treatment you bestowed. That says, your ability is to help others but personal.

3. No Regrets:
Live life in such a way that when you are in your last moments you have no regrets. Live today as if there is not tomorrow, and your are not going to get the time to undo your deeds. Regrets make you down, when you have time or opportunity, simply believe in your efforts to perform for the noble shake.

4. Become a Leader:
We should live life in a way that people feel sad about the fact that we are no more, but they should not feel happy about the fact that you are no more. When you depart for a final journey, millions should follow he ways for your final journey. People always do remember leaders and their contributions towards society.

5. Help Others:

IN · · Leave a Comment
school days
School days and college days are the best days of any one’s life, funny incidents, teacher’s scolding’s, affectionate friends all these add up to unforgettable memories.

But as we grow up and go further in life we leave our old college mates, school mates and make new friends in work places and in social life.

But the friends we made in school in college we will never be able to forget and at some point of time when we grow up and are working somewhere we just wish we could meet them.

As we grow old and age the desire becomes even stronger we just wish that we could somehow meet our old classmate’s school mates and friends and relive those wonderful and precious moments.

No matter where you stand in life now you may be a millionaire or an official. May be now you are in a position where people just wait to have a glimpse of you or talk to you.

But still you will not be able to forget the old and golden days that you spent in school or college, you may have a huge social circle now but still you wish in your heart you would meet some old friend in your school or college.

Every person no matter how old he grows always cherishes those days that he spent in school or college. Reunions are the perfect way to get in touch with our old friends and to relive those precious moments again.

The innocence or may be foolishness that was there in that age vanishes as we grow and we learn the ways of the world and when we meet those people again we see a clear difference between what we were then and what we are now.

Many people apart from just spending time together in reunions also do good and useful things to the school or college they studied.

They accumulate money and give it to the development of the school or give a scholarship to the bright students of the college.

There are so many good things that people do and they make it a custom to meet every year.

So, re-unions are one of the best things that can happen in life and become the most precious moments of our life.

Business Principles: Attitude towards Customers

IN · · Leave a Comment
customers
In business principles, attitude is definitely one thing that definitely matters if you are a marketing person and are dealing with customers.

While doing business, you may be selling just a pencil or you may be dealing with equipment that costs crores, but the core point is that you are dealing with customers.

Many people have this attitude that I am selling a product that is not much worth in terms of money and the person I am going to meet is just another guy and they do not have a professional approach in business.

It is not always necessary that your client or customer will always be a person who will be sitting in a closed cabin to do business. He or she may be the person next to you and just like you ordinary.

But never theless it is your responsibility to have a professional approach towards him or her. For example, in business you are selling a tractor and your customer is a farmer, it does not mean that you go him with wrinkled shirt and talk to him casually and without respect.

He may be a farmer but you are earning your pay cheque and commission because of him, if he is not there you is not there.

So, he should be treated with respect and your approach should be professional. The way you convince him or try to talk to him may be different from others, but your attitude towards him should not change. Whatever he is, however he is he is your customer and you should treat him like that.

A successful marketing or sales person knows that his success always depends upon the way he approaches his customer and his convincing abilities.

But in any case his approach should always be professional and he should wish for the good of the customer and how his product will benefit him and add value to his life. If this is kept in mind you will see only success in business.

A Quote worth Contemplating

IN · · Leave a Comment
hard work
Quotes are one of the many sources of inspiration. They are life’s essence in short and it is very important that we make it a habit to read a t least a new daily this will enlighten us.

We read many quotes and hear them also but there will be some which will strike straight at heart and you will never forget them. Some time such quotes change your entire perspective of life.

I heard one quote in a movie which is by Yendamuri Veerendranath it goes like this “life is not a key that you keep it in some one’s hand and sleep peacefully” what more can anyone say in short about the value of ‘your’ life. This is a quote which I will never forget in my life.

Yes, many of us depend on others for each and every thing and every minor and major decision in life which is not a right thing.

God has blessed us each and every one of us with brains and wisdom so that we can think what is good for us and then act in such a way.

There is no harm in taking others opinions and consulting someone, but it is not at all good to depend on others when it comes to life changing decisions.

It is easy to put the burden of our life on someone else and live a carefree life, but to take the responsibility of your behavior, of your decisions and ultimately of your life into your own hands, and accepting the results whatever they are instead of putting the blame on someone else is a thing that everyone must learn.

As long as you don’t value yourself, know your worth, and the value of your life, you will never live your life, you will be a puppet in someone else’s hand.

But the day you recognize your own worth, you give value to yourself and start living life that way that is the day when you started living ‘your’ life. So, take time and think about this.
