IN · · Leave a Comment
New Delhi, October 31, 2012: Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”), a leading telecommunications services provider with operations in 20 countries across South Asia and Africa, today took a major technological leap in network management when its state-of-the-art Network Experience Centre (NEC) went LIVE. The NEC, which is based in Manesar (Gurgaon), was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Shri Kapil Sibal. Also present on the occasion were Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman and Managing Director, Airtel, Mr. Rajan Mittal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Bharti Enterprises and Mr. Sanjay Kapoor, CEO – India and South Asia, Airtel.

Network Experience Centre

The NEC, which is the first of the its kind facility in India, will be able to monitor Airtel’s network performance across Mobile, Fixed Line and DSL Broadband, DTH, M-Commerce, Enterprise Services, International Cable Systems and internet peering points from a single location. It will monitor all Airtel and partner NOCs and in case of any emergency, the operator will have a 360 degree view of any issue, thereby helping to prioritize actions to restore normalcy and reduce resolution time. This continuous stream of near real time data will in turn enable Airtel to deliver a superior customer experience across its product offerings.

The NEC houses one of the biggest video walls in the world with 3600 square feet of solid state LED screen to monitor Airtel’s telecom network. The clear span of the roof is 49 meters by 18 meters and the beams have been specially designed to hold the structure without columns. These beams are fireproof and about 8 feet deep. Designed specifically to be used as a command center in case of national emergencies and natural catastrophe, the earthquake proof facility also provides for a single control of command, and a fully redundant technology layout. This is yet another benchmark in the Indian Telecom sector.

On the occasion Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman and Managing Director, Bharti Airtel said, “Over the years, Airtel has been at the forefront of deploying the best technology to bring a world-class offering to customers. This new facility, sets the benchmark for telecom in South Asia, and will help us manage the layers of complex networks and technologies across our product matrix and massive scale of operations. Essentially, we will be able to analyze and deliver a seamless experience to over 200 million customers across our verticals from one location. In particular, this facility positions us to manage the expected surge in data usage on our 3G and 4G networks in years to come and deliver best-in-class experience to our customers.”

During the peak hour, Airtel connects nearly 6 million voice and over 5 million data customers, concurrently. 600 switching and routing centers process 80 Billion minutes of voice and 24 Petabytes of data traffic every month. This huge traffic comes from over 160,000 sites (2G,3G& 4G), through 150,000 kms of optical backbone, via 75,000 kms of undersea cable system and connects customers globally, through 17 global PoPs for voice and data.

This state-of-the-art NEC, now will be able to observe the end to end customer experience, in near real time, along with the standard network elements on this massive scale of operations.

Development and Environmental Concerns

environment
In the recent times, we are facing severe environmental threats, and there is little now that can be done to rectify the damage that has become life threatening. Recent surveys and studies show that so many kinds of plat and bird species are come to the point of extinction. And on the other side, satellite studies state that the ice in the continents and on the mountains is getting converted into water at a rapid pace, resulting in the overall increase in the water levels of the sea. And on the opposite side, there is a threat of severe cold, recent studies show that the countries that used to sweat, are now experiencing severe cold that too at below minus levels because of environmental changes.

The reason for all this is that when we plan for development, we are just concerned about development at any cost. At that time we don’t pay attention to environmental issues. And when everything is over we start looking for the cause of the problem, when we can hardly do anything about the damage that has happened. Development is very important, in all areas and all over the world. But environmental concerns are even more important they are our life source either directly or indirectly.

When any country or nation is looking and planning for development, environmental issues should be taken into concern every time and in every issue. We should be able to predict the effects of the decisions and actions that we have taken on the environment. When giving permission to do anything in any matter, Govt. should look into the environmental issues and then give permission. Let it be the issue of the Real estate or Industries, They should see that no threat to environment is caused because of these developments. Environmental issues and utilization of natural resources, all should be studied well and then only should permission be given for implementation. May be at least then we can preserve the environment as it is now at least.

Smaller iPad Mini or Bigger iPhone 5 -What You are Choosing

IN · · Leave a Comment
mini ipad 3
Bedding all the rumors about Mini iPad 3, Apple launched its new smaller iPad, the iPad Mini on 23th October. With A5 processor and slick bedazzled design, iPad Mini is surely a strong contender before Google Nexus and Amazon Kindle Fire HD.

The iPad Mini is amazingly light, weighing around half of the 9.7 inch iPad and it’s much thinner than the original iPad. iPad Mini has a great aluminum back as in iPhone 5 and comes in both black and white. Where it lacks is the screen resolution which is not as good as iPad 3’s retinal display and quite same as iPad 2. The pixel density is 163 dpi which is almost same to the iPad 2, while the iPad 3 features a retinal display of 264 dpi. One of the eminent tech reviewers said that Apple has an innovative marketing style to feature its innovations and that’s what making its products more popular.

But approximately a month back Apple unveiled the bigger iPhone 5 at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. With iPhone 5, Apple introduced some amazing features like improved Siri performance (Siri – the inbuilt voice assistant from Apple), new iOS6, double fast A6 Processor, wide retinal display and billion color pixilated views. Above all it is 15% thinner and much lighter (weighing around 3.95 ounces) than the previous version iPhones.

iPhone 5 pre-orders are doubled as compared to iPhone 4S and already gained the necessary hype as expected by Apple. So now will iPhone 5 act as a speed breaker in the sale of iPad Mini and what the consumers will choose among these two.

As you start comparing the both, iPhone 5 does prove to be a winner with its double fast processor, retinal displays, bigger, thinner and light-weight structure. Here Apple does confuse its consumers choosing the right thing for them. One side you provide a bigger iPhone with improved features and faster performance; and on the other side you launch a smaller iPad with outdated features and poor processor speed.

We agree that iPad Mini is as much similar as an iPad, light-weight and easy to come in your palm. But it does lack speed, competitive display and much higher price than an iPhone 5. Starting with a price of $329 iPad Mini sounds less money-worthy as compared to an iPhone 5 starting at $199. iPad mini will beat other competitors like Amazon Kindle Fire or Google Nexus, but it may get attenuated before its siblings.

Check out more Apple product reviews at http://www.apple.com/

P.S: Apple once claimed that its iPhone or iPad sizes are the actual standard size of a smartphone or tablet. But later on when products like Samsung Galaxy S, Amazon Kindle and Google Nexus gained popularity, Apple did realized that it has to change its standard size specifications. That is when the concept of iPhone 5 and iPad Mini are developed.

The Stand of Apple Products in India

IN · · 1 comment
apple products
Apple is the largest seller of smartphones and tablets across the world with its wide range of products and innovative features. Some of the eye catching products launched by Apple in recent days are the new iPhone 5, the new range of iPods and now the iPad Mini. Resting the rumors about iPad 3, Apple unveiled the iPad Mini, a much lighter and slicker iPad which includes all the functionality of an iPad. But what the question is how these Apple products are performing in the Indian market and how many people are really aware about its innovative features. Let’s see how it goes.

Who use Apple products in India?
  1. 27 million of people in India are actually using smartphones and Samsung is the brand which most of the people prefer.
  2. In India, you’ll see business emeralds, celebrities, and top dollar earners using iPhone or iPad the most. Companies like Samsung and Nokia are providing the same quality features in their smartphones at cheaper rates and that’s what making the competition tough for Apple.
  3. For a Dollar economic country buying an iPhone or iPad is not a big issue. But when it comes to India, the rates became doubled and Apple products became unaffordable for a small scale earner.
  4. To increase the demand, Apple India tied up with some big educational institutions, banks and technology enterprises of India. It provides iPad, iPhone and Mac at mass volume and cheaper rates.
  5. Most of the outsourcing software development firms in India are using Mac, iPhone or iPad to develop competent applications.
  6. Apart from these some individual mobile application developers, rich students or know-how guys use various Apple products.
iPhone or iPad - What we don’t use

We’re stressing on the iPhone and iPad, as these are people’s product. But how many people in India actually are utilizing the iPhone or iPad to the fullest. Is it worthy to buy a phone with same features as iPhone but at cheaper rates?

Siri: The voice search assistant, which search online through voice queries. Around 16 million of Smarphone users in India search for things online and all of them prefer to type and search. For now Siri is not available in India edition iPhone or iPads.

Apple Maps: After issues with Google maps, Apple came up with its own maps which are actually much impressively designed. But are these maps are completely updated with Indian geography and how many people in India are actually using these maps for navigation.

Facetime: We don’t know the detailed statistics of Facetime usage in India, but overall statistics does show people using smartphones do mostly chat over Facebook, Skype or Gtalk.

iCloud: This feature has still been un-explored by Indian iPhone users and often confused with Internet or Email programmes.

Video Calling: People prefer more like to have chat over Facebook or Gtalk.

iTunes Music: Indian version iPhones don’t come with iTunes Music store as due to the fact that Indian songs are not available at iTunes. Apple is planning to include this in the next iOS updates. Though you can download games and apps from the iTunes store.

And above all, these features are also available with phones from Samsung & Nokia and that’s too at affordable prices. Even Apple named as one of the best technology marketing brand, it does fail to impress the Indian mobile phone market. There is a proverb we say in India which spells like this “Jo Dikhta Hai Who Bikta Hai” (What You See is What They Sell) and that’s why Apple needs to bring some region specific features to attract the Indian mobile phone users.

Roots of Happiness

IN · · Leave a Comment
happiness
What ever we do in life, all our aims, ambitions, goals everything revolves around one thing. Happiness, behind everything that we do in life there is one simple reason, we want to be happy. This is not just for one time; we want to be happy always. And so, there is no end for the struggle that we under go, throughout the life, because we just want to be happy forever.

Where is the address of happiness? Well, happiness has a different definition for each person. If happiness lies in one thing all the persons should go after one thing, but it is not so. Some people find happiness in wine, some in food, and some in women. Some people are happy when they achieve high position in career and in life. Some are happy when they posses things they want, some, when they have accumulated all the money they have wanted.

But how long this happiness stays? Till the next desire pops up, the moment you revise your goals, priorities, run starts again. So, happiness lies in our feeling of possessing what we have wanted or in our association with the people we want to be or when we are in a kind of situation we have wanted to be. So, where do the roots of the happiness lie, it lies in our feeling, feeling of being happy.

What most of us tend to think is that when we achieve our big goals, dreams and when we have fulfilled our duties we will be happy, but the reality is not so. If we wait for a time or a situation or a person or a thing to make us happy, we have to keep waiting. Life is too short to keep waiting for things to happen, and when we want big things to happen in our life to make us happy, it takes too long for things to happen and half our life is lost in our pursuit of being happy.

So, the roots of happiness lie in being happy each and every second of our life. No one knows about the next moment. So, we should not depend on outside things for happiness, we should be happy the way we are, and with what we are. Living each moment to its fullest, here lies the root of our happiness. Within ourselves, within our own heart.

Management Tips: Managerial Decision Making

IN · · Leave a Comment
Management Tips
Decision making at the level of manger, is really an art. This involves making decisions, on the individual level, without the concern of the others. There are other kinds of decisions that involve other people. So, the decision making process when it comes to managerial level, becomes very complicated.

There are kinds of decisions that need to be made on a personal level, without the concern of others. These need great competence, having correct information to come to a conclusion, and right assessment of the situation time etc, these decisions may not necessarily need others concern or opinion and are made on a individual level and are executed. Then there are other kinds of decisions that need the involvement of other people, Involvement of the people concerned with the work, their opinion etc.

These kinds of decisions can be made, by putting the problem or the situation in front of the concern persons, taking their opinion, and them with mutual concern or coming to a common conclusion decision is made, in this kind of situation no propels are there from the manager. Then there are situations where the manger thinks about the situation, or a problem assesses it, designs a set of solutions and then places the choices in front of the others to make a choice.

As a manager which kind of decisions you make, depends on your relationship with the others. Then as per the organization structure, what kind of freedom and at what level it has given to its manager. Apart from all these, how much ever you may study the pros and cons of a situation and take a decision, you will only come to learn about the practical aspects and if the decision you have made is hundred percent right only after implementing.

Top five tips to be a Perfect Manager

IN · · Leave a Comment
Perfect Manager
The term manger himself dictates the role of a manager. One who has to mange himself, others and situations. There are various points that play a vital role to shape oneself into a perfect manager. Let’s look at few of those points.

1. Goals: When we set goals we know where we are heading to, if we are on the right track, and we have a chance to correct and progress. So, to be a perfect manger it is very important to set goals for yourself and for those working for you.

2. Praise: A good manger knows the value of the persons working for him and leaves no chance to praise them, whenever he gets one. As it is important for a manger to correct his staff, it is equally important to praise them for what they are worth, and they do. Because this leads to strengthen the relationship between them.

3. Criticism: Not a very good thing to do but becomes inevitable to get the tasks done. Whenever you want to correct the staff, you should allow the other person to know by your behavior and words that, your intention is purely to get the work done and not to criticize. And always praise the staff in front of everyone and correct them in private, in your cabin.

4. Explain: No one is born perfect in this world; we all learn what we learn from experience and by doing. So, don’t expect everyone to know everything, when the need arises, explain, to them as to what they have to do, how they have to do. A perfect manager knows this and so takes the trouble to explain.

5. Relationship: Last, but not definitely the least, a Perfect manager is one who knows the value of relationships, and is good at them. Managing people is managing relationships, one who is good at this, will definitely be good at his work. So, management and manager means managing people and managing relations with them.

Principles of Mahatma Gandhi: are they Valid Today?

IN · · Leave a Comment
Gandhiji
Gandhiji
Non-violence, Simplicity, Truth, Brahmacharya, Vegetarianism, and Faith. Principles of Gandhiji, do they fit in the world we are living today? Most of us would have no second thoughts, answering no. But there are people who are following these principles, even today. What is the difference between them who are following those principles and us who think that it is nearly impossible to practice these principles now a days? The difference is willingness to do so.

Well, we cannot deny the fact, that it is hard to resist temptations, in a world where everything is easily available, and can be find everywhere. But what is preventing us from following these principles is fear and temptation, if we can overcome these two things it is not a difficult task. We are living in a world, where there are more number of people believe that, it is difficult to practice these principles and these principles have no value in today’s life.

But, at the core of our hearts we cannot deny the fact that these are the principles that have withstood the test of the time. Gandhiji was also a normal person like us, he was also educated went to foreign to study there, was aware of the lifestyle there. But still he could manage to stick to his principles. When he could do that being a normal man, why can’t we do it? The temptations of money, name, fame, wine, women all these things were there even at that time.

But what made him, stick to his principles and turn himself into Mahatma. He has not only changed himself into Mahatma, but also was able to influence whole India by his character and behavior. And by seeing him, lot many could emulate him and walk on the path of truth. Even at that time there were people, Govt. that opposed these principles, but what happened to them? At last it is always the truth that wins, and truth has nothing to do with time and people. If it can work that day, it will also work this day, what makes these principles work and does not work is our faith in them.

Teenagers Need: Parental Guidance or Freedom

IN · · Leave a Comment
teen
Today’s teenagers have more freedom, in each and every matter when compared to previous generations. In the personal matters, educational and professional, and parents have also become quite understanding in the matters of their teenage children. But what is this freedom giving them and where is it leading them? Is a question we have to ask ourselves?

Taking the opinion of the children in matters of choosing their profession and career is a good thing to do, but even in that matter when they need parental guidance we must do so. But what about matters that are personal, I think this is where most of the parents and teenagers have clash. And these are the matters where generations gaps come in. In previous generations, there was nothing personal.

But now we hear it too much, what is this personal space giving our children and where is it leading them? As there are two sides of every coin so is here, freedom is good and giving personal space is good but when is the question? This is an age where children think they know everything and they can be on their own, but this is the time when they need parental guidance and supervision more. Because, this is age where it is easy for them to get distracted, diverted, and get carried away by the glitters and fantasies of the world.

Being parents it is our duty to know when to give them choice and freedom and when not in what matters they need freedom and ion what matters they need choice? Some parents are too strict with their teenage children not leaving choice to them even in matters of food and clothes, this is not good. And some parents are too liberal with their children leaving all the choices to them and giving them all the freedom of the world, without guiding them and supervising them, this is not good also.

Freedom at proper place and proper time with a proper reason is what teenagers need. And this is what parents should give them they should give them freedom but, also guide them, correct them and supervise them. Only then freedom will have some meaning and fulfillment of the purpose.

Women: Just an object of enjoyment?

IN · · Leave a Comment
There has been severe increase in the rate of crime, in the recent years. Especially teenagers committing, severe crimes in the name of love. Acid attacks on girls, cutting the throat of the girl, if she rejects the boy. Raping and murdering three year old girls and sixty year old women. We have been hearing lot of this stuff these days. And it is quite saddening and fearful also.

Some times I really wonder if this is the same India, where, women used to be treated with respect and where elders used to teach their children, that where women are treated with respect, Devatas will be there. The influence of western channels, or drastic changes in the lifestyle, and freedom that is really leading us to dogs. The movies whether bollywood or Hollywood, with no piece of acting but just uncovering the naked facts, Really wonder what to blame and whom to blame for all this.

Recent reports and research have shown that that has been a drastic increase in the crime rate, especially towards the girl child. Father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi said “when a women can move freely in the midnight, without fear, that day we have achieved real freedom” I really feel those days were far better than these days, today we fear sending a three year old girl child outside the house, not in the midnight but in the day light only.

Where is all our culture of treating women next to God gone? When have we started seeing women and even babies, as mere objects of pleasure? Sometimes I really feel, that the older generation, were better than us in matter of morality and values. They might be uneducated, but they treated women with respect. They never even thought of crossing limits in matters of morality and values. These are the things that we should inherit from our elders and older generation. Because these are the real mile stones of progress. Our real progress as humans.

Advertising is all Glitter and Little Truth

IN · · Leave a Comment
Companies invest lot of money in the advertising, they want their products to reach the people and want them to be remembered by the people.

The main idea behind advertising is to convey the features of the product, and its uses. We cannot deny the fact that, there are people and there are companies who use advertising as a medium to cheat people and to sell their products. But how long people will believe the advertisement.

Until people choose the particular product. Advertising helps to make the people purchase the product for the first time, but not every time.

The second time people think of buying a product, it will only be the quality of the product that will make them come back to you. So, all companies are not alike and not all people are alike.

So, keeping in mind those few people who cheat and use advertising as a medium, to convey wrong information to the people about a product.

It is not right to say that all people are so, and all advertisements convey false messages, you may find one or two that are so, but to say that every advertisement is so, will be wrong.
advertising
When companies or people go for advertising a particular product. Their reputation and companies reputation is at stake.

If after spending so much of money for advertising, no one would want, their company to earn bad name.

Definitely not a company that is looking for a long term business. So, some times may be you can find those kinds of advertisements that are aimed at generating temporary benefits, but this is not definitely the route, that will be chosen by people or companies.

That plan to do a long term business and want to have good reputation in the market, advertising will help to reach the customers..

Alcohol should be Banned?

IN · · Leave a Comment
alcohol
In many states, of our country, there is huge revenue generated to the Government by alcohol. Every year the Government is issuing permission and licenses to more number of people, to set up shops and to sell alcohol. How far this is good? Is getting revenue the only concern of the Government or are they are also bothered about the welfare of the people. Today we find even in remote areas where the people in the villages have no water to drink, but alcohol shop will be there. How far this is reasonable.

It will not be wrong to say that in the corner of every street we will find an alcohol shop just like any other shops. Government should think of the welfare of the people, but not to generate revenue on the degradation of the people. There are many number of families that are suffering and are on the roads because of this habit. There are many uneducated people and people working as daily labour, who are getting addicted, and are neglecting their families, because of this habit.

There are many numbers of women who are leading life of misery, just because the husband is alcoholic and is not concerned about the welfare of the family. This problem is not just limited to the lower classes, every day we hear so many cases where the persons are doing accidents by driving after taking alcohol. We hear cases everyday where people commit crimes after consuming alcohol as they have no control over themselves. Even the youth are getting spoiled by this habit; there was a time, when people who took alcohol were looked down in the society. But now it has become a fashion statement.

Those people who do not consume alcohol are considered as specimens. I really wonder where the society is going. The main priority of the Government is to look after the welfare of the people, and to implement and do those things that are good to them. But it is not at all fair to generate revenue, by ruining the life of the people and degrading them. Government should look for sources of alternative income, and stop any such things that are not good for the public.

Western Culture Adopted By India Fair or Not?

IN · · Leave a Comment
Western Culture
We can see the drastic changes that the Indian culture and society has under gone, in the last few years. Its influence on the society it’s people, especially the younger generation has been huge. Let it be the effect of IT boom, wide expansion of corporate sector, globalization, and weekend culture, give it whatever name you want but its effects have been severe. Right from the dressing style to the language that we are speaking the accent everything has changed.

All for a genuine reason, to secure corporate jobs or to find jobs in foreign companies. If you have to work for the client of a particular country you need to have that kind of accent, attitude everything. Is this good or bad? Well, culture by itself is not wrong anywhere, or for that matter any countries culture. Each countries and people’s culture varies, depending on the circumstances and people of the country.

If a particular culture is followed by particular people of the country it suits them their needs and their life style. But when we as outsiders adapt that culture, we should know the limits. If you have to survive yourself in the globalized world secure job, live well there is nothing wrong in learning English, and knowing their culture so that you don’t face problems. But as with others anything in excess is definitely not good.

There is nothing harm in knowing western culture, but to forget our own culture, is bad, there is nothing wrong in learning English, but to forget our mother tongue, and to consider speaking in our mother tongue, as below dignity is not at all a good thing. There is no one who is forcing us to adapt western culture, we are free individuals, having the power to choose, we should know what to adapt and to which extent.

Reduction in Defense Expenses: Needed?

IN · · Leave a Comment
Defense Expenses
Defense is definitely the first priority of, any country, especially for a country like India. Where the threat is high from the neighboring countries. Only when the country is free and safe, can we think of any progress, and development. When there is threat to the safety of the people and the country, how can we think of development in any aspect? So, defense expenses should not be reduced, considering the safety and security of the people and the nation.

There is another aspect of this issue that is, it is true that we should not reduce, the expenses, but we should neither increase the expenses of the defense. There are other most important matters that are of high priority, in the country in the present circumstances. We are all aware of the increasing inflation, and its effect on common man. There are matters of internal peace that need to be attended to.

Threat from naxals, terrorists, what not there are lot many priority areas that need to be focused on. So, neither the increase nor the decrease in the defense expenses is good for the country and the people. When to increase, where to increase, when to decrease, where to decrease, are the matters that need to be decided based on the time and the situation. When there is need we should not look back, and similarly when there is no necessity to increase we should focus on the priorities.

We should not increase our defense expenses if some other country is increasing, neither should we decrease ours if some other country does so. We should take the decision spending on our own countries situation and our need, only then we will be able to make the right decision that will do good for the country and the people.

Division: Only Solution for Development

states in India
Now a days we are hearing lot of this stuff, political parties demanding division of states and people in some parts of the country demanding division of states. How far this is reasonable? And is it the only solution let with us for the development of the states and the country in total?

Dividing states is not a small issue, if we divide a state again then again, we need new capital, new political system, that runs the state, right from the scratch, everything has to be organized, and it involves lot of time money and man power. Instead of doing all this, will it not be enough if we find out the areas where the particular state is backward, in what matters, and we can divert this man power and money into that the problems will be solved and the state will develop.

Development of the states and country as a whole should be important but not division, if the system is working properly in a corrupt free way development is possible. Because the political system is meant for that only. People think that, if states are divided, politicians can concentrate on problems and rectify them as the area would be limited. But right from villages to cities, Districts, States, and country level.

We have government authorities and political parties working for the welfare of the people. What are all these people doing, and of what use is the system if development cannot be achieved this way. If right from villages to the, MLA’s every one works sincerely and corrupt free, there is no need for division, of states for development. Sincere people devoted for the development of the people and transparent system is needed for the development of a state or a region. But not division.

Subsidies on Diesel: Same Policy for Companies and Common Man

IN · · Leave a Comment
Subsidies on Diesel
Every one knows about recent hike in the prices of petrol and diesel, and everyone is also aware of the power cuts. The facts that were shown in a news channel recently, were quiet astonishing. We all know the importance of cell towers and the role they play in our daily life. We are also aware of the fact that these cell towers, depend on electricity to function. There are innumerable numbers of cell towers of various companies spread all over the country. And power crisis are there in almost all places.

Then how are all these cell towers function, they are depending on generators, and generators on diesel. Think of the huge amount of diesel consumption by these generators, all over the country, in various places. The point here is, that the companies that are using diesel for the generators, are getting the diesel for the same subsidy rate as does a common man. The companies’ income will be in crores and they don’t lack funds to pay for the diesel but yet they are given diesel for the same price, as for a common man.

How far this is reasonable, Govt. is thrusting the entire burden on the common man, and saving money, of the big companies, by giving them subsidies. How reasonable and appropriate it is for the government, to do so. It is not at all good to apply the same policy everywhere and for everyone. Subsidies should be given to common man, a person living by driving auto rickshaw, is dependent on diesel, if you give him subsidy you will make his life easy. But what is the point in giving subsidy to the companies having crores of turnover.

The Govt. should definitely look into this matter and see that the common man is benefitted by the subsidies and not the rich.

How to Avoid Asbestos Exposure in an Older Home

IN · · Leave a Comment
By Brian Turner

Renovating an old house can be a recipe for disaster if that home contains asbestos. Older houses often contain this incredibly hazardous chemical that is known to cause cancer. Mesothelioma is the rare cancer that is caused by an exposure to asbestos. You can get this cancer by being around asbestos a lot and by also breathing it in while removing drywall and other things in an old house. Renovating an older home may simply not be safe if the walls and ceilings contain asbestos. You should definitely consider your options when dealing with this type of substance.

Your very first step is to make sure that asbestos truly is in your home. While many people don't put much emphasis in finding this out, it can be a great idea to hire a company to do an inspection for you. They will be able to inspect every area of the home to see if there is asbestos in any of the rooms. They will then give you their findings so that you can make the decision on how to remove the chemical. There are several options available to you when it comes to getting the asbestos out of your home.

One option is to remove the asbestos yourself. When dealing with this chemical, keep in mind that it can cause mesothelioma if it is breathed in. Because of this, you should evacuate your entire family out of the home while you are renovating it. You also want to use and wear as much protective equipment as possible. For instance, you should be wearing a mask specifically designed for asbestos prevention. You should also be wearing gloves, coveralls and a variety of other things to ensure that you are fully protected when working inside of the house.

If you are nervous about removing asbestos yourself or if you just do not know what you are doing, don't hesitate to have the professionals come in. There are multitudes of professional asbestos cleaning companies that will do an amazing job at cleaning the home of this chemical. You should compare different companies before hiring just one of them so that you save money in the long run while also hiring a company that is completely reputable. The company you hire will then be able to come into the home and begin clearing it of any asbestos that is lurking in the walls and ceilings.

Your home is just not safe if you are living with and around asbestos. This dangerous chemical can cause mesothelioma and other breathing problems later on in life if you are around it constantly. Hiring a professional company may be the only option available to you, but it will be worth the investment. You will then be able to create a comfortable home for your loved ones without having to worry that everyone is breathing in a substance that could cause them to develop cancer later on in their lives from living in the home.

Criticism is Good

criticism
Criticism is a way of correcting people; there are many types of criticism. People who have a intention to do good to others or want to correct them, are the ones who do criticism. Criticism is a corrective step, in our day to day life we may hear criticism from any one, it may be a member from our family, outsider, our well wisher, mentor, or for that matter any one.

There are kinds of Criticism, people who do positive Criticism and people who do negative Criticism. Positive Criticism, helps a person to know his fault, and to correct himself, where as negative Criticism, leads to depression and demotivates a person. Your intention may be right that you want to correct a person and want to put him in a right track. But if you do it in a straight and blunt way, the other person will be hurt, and your purpose will not be survived.

Criticism is a part of life, and as long as we learn to take it positively, for our own benefit, we will not be hurt. It may be from any one in our phases of life we come across many persons and situations, where we hear Criticism, our parents do it with a intention to correct us and to keep us on right track, and because of their love towards us. Our teachers do it, with an intention to correct us. Our bosses do it, so that we become better at work and give our best.

So, no matter who does it, and in what situation. The purpose is always for the good of the criticized, if we remember this we will always progress in life. The fact that there are people who do Criticism just to hurt the other the other one, cannot also be denied, but those kind of people are very few; you need not pay attention to those Criticism. So, Criticism does good to people, if given in a positive way.

Science is a Boon or Bane

IN · · Leave a Comment
science
Today, the comfortable life we are all leading is because of science, right from the machined that we use at home appliances to the technology that runs satellites; everything is a miracle of science. All the appliances that we are using the technology that is helping us connect to the people of the world. Everything is a boon of science; we can hardly imagine life without science.

Science is definitely good and has done lot good to the humans. It has made our life comfortable and easy. Today we are able to find so many medicines, vaccines, and cure for so many diseases, it is because of science. Science has helped us to reach the moon and know the depths of the universe. In each and every area of our life science is playing known or unknown role. But yet most of the times useful role. It is because of science that we are able to detect the earth quakes, tsunamis and other natural calamities and are able to save the lives of many.

But, as with everything else, there have been some negative results of the science on us and on the society and nature as a whole. Because of the too much dependence on machines, and too much of usage of appliances at home and outside, there is a severe release of poisonous gases into the atmosphere, that is causing severe damage to the ozone layer, and indirectly to the life on the earth. On top of that the radiation that is caused because of waves because of signal towers (cell), T. V and other similar items is posing severe health problems to the humans, and is leading to new diseases, that are proving to deadly.

Science is used to manufacture nuclear bombs and deadly tools for destruction, it is becoming a deadly tool, in the hands of few, sick people. Using of chemicals either for fertilizers or for humans in the form of medicines is proving fatal. Too much of usage of chemicals is making land fertile and humans sick. So, is science boon or bane, is it the cause for better life or is it the root cause for all the present problems? Well, question is yet to be answered.

Villagers’ better Than Urbanites

IN · · Leave a Comment
village
Some times, I really wonder, of what use is all the education, all the knowledge that we accumulate? Education should make us, humans, it should fill in values in us, human values, but now the scenario is opposite. The more educated the person is the more selfish his thinking is, the more sick his mind is becoming. We don’t bother about the person living next door, we don’t bother to help somebody on the street, we don’t react when the whole system is corrupt, we don’t bother to just react, in any way to any of these things.

Fear to react; fear to help the other person in need, fear, fear and fear. This has become omnipresent now. Instead of love and compassion for the fellow being, we have developed suspicious mind towards others. And we are not to be blamed for this because, the situation has become so. Whether it is night time or day time, we fear to keep our doors open; sometimes we are forced to suspect those whom we think we they are our own.

Where are all the humans gone, where is all the humanness gone? I think though not educated like us though, though they don’t have worldly knowledge like us villagers are better than urbanites in many matters. In villages if anything happens to any one the whole village is there for him, to help him and to support him. Anything happens in any ones house, let it be good or bad, the whole village is there for them.

If politicians don’t keep up their promises, they don’t allow them to step into their village, they show enough guts, to ask them for what they are accountable. They sit together, decide together, what to do to, vote for whom and if not. Unity and humanness, compassion for the fellow beings understanding and standing together for others, if these are the qualities that a lay man, uneducated man has. We better remain uneducated, and have some humanness left in us, instead of being educated and inhuman.

Space Missions are a Wastage of Resources for a Resource-Starved Nation like India

space mission
There are definitely some uses of space missions. Sending satellites and other space related activities. If so many countries in the world are spending some billions and trillions of money on space missions it is because they are able to visualize the benefits and the future needs of the people. Today we are able to know the weather forecast, and many other things that are directly or indirectly linked with the space missions it is because of them.

Whether forecast is necessary for farmers and those who go into the sea. There are many other technological benefits of these space missions that we as a common man do not know. Many countries in the world, advanced countries, have gone far in research and in advancement in other fields because of these space missions. We need not compete with them but to help our country progress, and for the development of the people and the country. We definitely need space missions to the extent we need them.

Looking at the other side, there are many other factors that need to be addressed in the country. Many people suffering from lack of health facilities, lack of education. Financial needs to be addressed. In fact if we take a closer look at the needs of our country and the needs of the people. So many of them still striving hard to fulfill their bare needs, if we think from this angle definitely space missions are not out priority. And it is also valid if we feel that we are wasting lot of money on these space missions unnecessarily.

But, as with everything else, we need to prioritize, we can spend money on space missions, if we think that these will help people and common man in a huge way and help in the development of the country. But, spending money on the space missions, neglecting the bare needs of the people is not at all good.

On top of it resources and funds should be set aside for the development of research and most important of all, for the security and safety of the nation, funds should be allotted to the defense. Funds should be set aside for subsidies, natural calamities. And the list goes on and on. It is just impossible to run a country and to take it on a progressive way, if there is no budgeting.

You don’t know the priorities, when you don’t budget, you don’t know where you need to spend the money. You never know if you will be spending money on unnecessary, matters. So the uses of budgeting are limitless, and the truth is that budgeting is a need, not an option that we have, to see if we have any uses we will budget or otherwise no.
